Face it guys, the 49 ers have only given up 180? points ALL season and NO running TD's! Impressive to say the least. If the Steelers win tonight it will be the passing game. I heard a stat the other day that the 49 ers D gives up the 7th most YAC in the NFL, so I hope we see some quick slants and small routes that might allow our WR's to make something happen. I "think" Ben plays, but if we believe he will be able to run around and make something happen we are alll wrong! Lot of shotgun offense is what I predict, and that ankle is not knid on his accuracy, so it could be a lot of missed long throws? Thats how I see it. Quick throws = quick points! What say you?????????????

The Steelers can't abandon the run before the game even starts. That said, I want to see another game plan like we had against the Pats and the Titans.

If we get pass happy we will lose this game. In fact if Mendy does not have a good game we will lose, Ben or no Ben.

we can mix some runs but they will go nowhere , to win this game we need 2or 3 big plays and a stellar defense :godell:

We won't run much or far for that matter. The 49ers front 7 are very good so Mendy won't get much

Mendenhall can't do his tapdance for any yardage on terrible run D's, let alone really good ones. I suspect he will have about 35 yards rushing with Moore getting 45 or so and Arians/Tomlin of course not using their best option in Redman at all. Need the ball to bounce our way 3-5 times tonight to win. Too many pro-bowlers out/hurt.

Why can't we sit Mendy and have a mix of Redman and Dwyer and no, I'm not trying to start a gun fight on the board. :)

If they run the same type of game plan they did against New England, I don't think Ben gets killed if they pass. In fact, I think he stands a worse chance if they run too much. He's bound to get caught up in a pile-up or someone will get blocked into him, etc.

they are also without their leading tackler. the run may be easier then you think. besides, they have never seen a o-line like ours.
