Stop just stop. We throw free agents and draft choices at these problems year after year after year and nothing ever changes. When are people like you gonna stop making excuses for Tomlin and realize he is the one constant here. He is the problem. His schemes, his philopshies, his in game adjustments, his lack of holding both players and coaches accountable, his in ability to make quick and decisive changes both in game, in between games and in between seasons. It really is frustrating to see the same issues year after year after year. I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of relaying on a TJ Watt sack, a turnover or a splash play to win the game. Thats not sound football and it is not winning football. Those should be one offs not something you rely on every single game to win the game. A well coached team consistently drives the ball down the field game after game and puts up touchdowns methodically and they force three and outs on defense mebtodically. We have not done that for years.

If you bring up a person’s position on a workplace diversity committee as a perjorative then yes you are bringing race into the conversation.

Really what tough games di we win exactly? Denver with a rookie QB in his second game. The Chargers against an injured QB. Maybe the Bengals when their defense was a mess (not to mention 7 other teams beat them). Oh the Ravens a divisions opponent (Ok one game). How about the losses to Cleveland, Dallas and Indianapolis? Stop making excuses, just stop. These problems have arisen year after year after year. What’s the common denominator?

So why pay anyone? Just bring it you and a few others and we can get Vrabel to coach

Ridiculous how so? Even Buck and Aikman commented about them playing mostly man and JPJ normally covering the other teams best WR but was on on Higgins instead on Chase last night. Putting Trice on Chase with seemingly not much help obviously didn't work. But by all means, keep laughing to divert attention from your lack of football knowledge. Or is it to divert attention from your man crush on Mike Tomlin?

So Queen who is a pro bowler on the Ravens is all of the sudden average on the Steelers. Minkah who is a pro bowler on reputation had a bad year... thats on him. Peyton Wilson the top ILB in the draft is just average. JPJ with a ton of talent has regressed in year two. I buy your logic if it is just one player but the fact all of them have played below their pedigree is an indictment on the coaching, period. KC has less talent on defense but a superior in production. Thats called coaching. We have thrown so many damn bodies at the ILB position and yet we still have the issue of covering TE’s and stopping the run. I would argue athletically we have the best ILB’s in the league. I have been saying for years we ask way to much of our ILB’s schematically in this defense. It is a flawed defense. Get some frigging bigger DT’s 340 lbs + to maintain two gaps and two blockers to allow the smaller athletic ILB’s we like to employ to flow freely to the ball. Blitz at least one of them more on run blitzes and pass blitzes. Disguse blitzes etc. Rush more than four people etc. Actually play man press instead of allowing free release even when playin man. This defense is not coached well at all. It started to go down hill the day Lebeau left this team.

Excuses being made for Wilson is all it is. Doing the same things he did in Denver that caused them to eat 80 million but it’s everyone’s fault but Wilsons. Apparently he needs a perfect team around him to do his job.

We had the chance to salt the division away before the tough stretch of games.

Yeah I missed that part. I could see how that could be taken that way. But in fairness to the original poster, I can see how he would judge Rooney like that. The Rooneys haven’t exactly hidden their political view points. Some of their poor coaching hires (not Tomlin) does in fairness make you question wether they are making choices on merit or for other reasons. Does that make me a racist to question those decisions they have made. Not at all. We have all had this ridiculousness of wokeism pushed down our throats. So it is absolutely reasonable to question peoples motives especially ones who have put them in position politically to be judged by others like Rooney has. That doesn’t mean I or the original poster are the least bit racist. It means we want to see decisions made based on merit and who the best man is for the job regardless of skin color or political affiliation. Stop just blindly being a Karen and learn to develop your ability to critically think. I can’t stand when people hang on every word somebody says and they just look for the moment to pounce and immediately judge and brand that person, which is what you have done to both me and the original poster.

At the end of every year recently we say we need to make big changes. Yet one thing stays the same as do the results. Shocking.

Im not sure what you're talking about to be honest.

Im saying that their game plan was ridiculous and that means i have a man crush on Tomlin?

Im saying it's laughable to guard the best WR (statistically) in the league 1-on-1, with no help, and that means I don't understand football?

I don’t think he understood what you were trying to say. It’s obviously ridiculous and moronic I think he thought you disagreed with that.

    Made sucky plays, too.

And dropsie Friermuth? Only guy making plays last night. Maybe sucky Wilson could take some heat off that pass so it’s not up Muths nose by the time he sees it.

if it's not talent then why did we get rid of Kenny---Russ is washed up he is no good our talented team has lots of problems ---all the way from safety personnel keeping players back from heaters--to the players the coaches and yes, the owner--- not willing to make the necessary change. Because of his fathers --HIRE
