I honestly believe they saw the ratings and said oh **** we need to stop our Patriots love affair. They had two opportunities to screw the Eagles and they didn't do it.

Our backlash for the horrible Jesse James call definitely helped the Ertz/Eagles. People would have lost their minds. Lowest SB ratings in 8 years and gift the Cheatriots another Super Bowl?

We won and the sheep lost.

I didn't watch SBLII. Patriots were going to represent AFC in the Super Bowl, no matter where the Steelers were seeded. The Jesse James call didn't matter and the week 15 game really didn't matter much in the long run. After watching the Jaguars game and Blake Bortles totally dismantle the Steelers defense... somebody please tell me how the Steelers defense was going to hold Tom Brady and Patriots offense under 40 points in a hypothetical matchup?

And people missed a very good game with the highlights being #1 the Pat's lose and #2 they got a little taste of the calls not going their way. Also the commercials we the best they have been in years as a whole, imo. I get why people tuned out and I was there too but what a great national pastime, food.....beer.....football......gambling......I love it. :smiley1:

I'm tired of watching the Patriots in Super Bowls. I will continue to "not watch" Super Bowls when the Patriots represent the AFC. I'm sick of the Patriots being in the Super Bowl every year while the rest of the AFC JV Squads (Steelers included) can't do anything about it.

You mean like the game they held them to 27 points? Yeah, how would they ever do that.

Newsflash: Patriots still won and will win again and again and again... as long as Brady is QB.

Well the prelim numbers say it's just a 3% drop from last year, hardly anything to write home about.

And that's your choice and your loss, I enjoyed watching the Pat's lose the way they use to win vs everyone else......the end is near for that team!!!!!!!

I hope you're right. The NFL would be much more enjoyable.

I also didn't watch. I watched Fist Fight followed by Cell with Samuel Jackson. I finished those two movies and had just enough time to see the Eagles win. I don't regret my choice.

I know the reaction to this will be bad, but I don’t think the XFL coming back is a bad thing. They will never overtake the NFL and it’s a joke in terms of money and competition. But, the NFL is a monopoly and they have no competition and no reason to feel threatened. The obsession to make the sport harmless is having a negative effect. I realize that people are getting hurt and there are issues, but boxing and other sports run a risk as well, risk pays and that’s why they are making $26 million per year. If the XFL puts out a reasonable minor league product and knows what a catch is, it could give people a taste of years gone by.

I only watched as my neighbor has a party every year and I didn't want to be a douche an not show up. I implored him not to have it, but he would have none of it.

I assure you I contributed to the drop in ratings during the regular season and will continue to do so.

But but, Eagle fans say it was the best Super Bowl ever!
    Naturally.

Missed extra points, mised FG, horrible TD call when it was never possessed, absolutely no Defense.

    Hardly the best
