If we win....we could be picking 19th or 20th.

I am rooting for a loss.

I hate to say it, but this team needs some high end talent....time to take a loss and hope for a near top 10 pick.

A loss means being swept by Browns. But laying down to lose intentionally? No way. You go out there and play. Drafting higher on board doesnt mean you will have better draft. Look at the teams that have struggled for a long time and draft early every year.

You dont go out there to throw games. Hell, they will probably lose and wont have a choice in the matter. This team is not making plays.

If we are picking 11th, we could easily afford to trade up to 8 or so and actually have a real chance to grab Teo. That would be awesome.

I won't root for a loss, but there is certainly is a bright light at the end of the tunnel if we do lose. I would have no issues resting all of our nicked up players. Like Heath, we don't need any of key players going down to a serious injury.

the only bad part is the higher we pick the more it costs. we are 10 mil. over the cap with 35 players under contract. we may trade down instead to save money. it wouldn't suprise me.

With the new salary cap for rookies, even high 1st round picks do not cost that much.
Here are our last 1st round picks when picking in the first half:
    2007: 15 Timmons (beast)
    2004: 11 Big Ben (beast)
    2004: 16 Troy P (beast)
    2000: Plax (very good player)

Here are our picks in the second half of the 1st:
    2012: 24 DeCastro (N/A)
    2011: C Heyward (N/A)
    2010: 18 Pouncey (beast)
    2009: 32 Hood (OK player)
    2008: 23 Mendy (OK player)
2006: 25 Holmes (very good player)
    2005: 30 Miller (beast)
2002: 30 Simmons (injuries ruined his career)
    2001: 19 Hampton (beast)

We have pretty good in the 1st round in the past 12 years, one of the reasons why we have been good for so long, but it appears to me when we pick in the top half of the 1st round, we get great players more often. I will be rooting for a Browns victory (which also moves them further back in the draft)
