    why not let one fly?

    1. desmond ridder qb cin. 6-4 has nice size. not my first choice but he checks a lot of boxes. 1.B. sam howell QB NC 6-1 rather this. checks some boxes.
not crazy about any of these picks but i think picket and willis and corral are gone.
    2. chad muma ILB Wyoming 6-3 very productive.
    3. kyler gordon CB washington 6-0 200 4.35 very good in zone or man coverage.
    4. nick cross S maryland 6-1 210 4.44 speed. may look really good at safety but even in the mike hilton role.
    6. jaivon heiligh WR costal car. 6-2 quick off the ball. physical. punt returner. under rated player.
    7. OL/DL
    7. OL/DL

Switch Darrian Beavers or even Christian Harris for Chad Muma. Muma is the most balanced Linebacker in the class... and that includes the top two in both Devin Lloyd and Nakobe Dean. The issue is... everything with him athletically is good but nothing really stands out. If anything, Logan Wilson compares favorably to him.. though Wilson was the superior athlete.

Every other pick I agree with assuming the team addresses the Offensive Line in Free Agency.

141 tackles, 1.5 sacks and 3 int. sticks out to me. a very good tackler too. i want this kid. no nonsense get the job done type of play. reads well and seems to play smart. sees the development of the play well and gets off blocks.

As I said, the Football IQ, discipline and technical abilities about him are not to be questioned. His limited overall athletic ability though leaves much to be desired. Realistically speaking... I am now more convinced than ever that playing in the 3-4 is going to be even worse for him than being in a 4-3.

Thanks for the info Mac, I like the direction you are going in. I know you and some
others really study and research these players. I use to, don't seem to be able
to get back into it like I should. . I take it you too are hoping the Steelers make big splash
in FA on OLineman and an OLB

I’m looking back at this now, and I’d bet that Gordon is gone before our 2nd round pick, definitely before our 3rd. My guess is that he goes between picks 25-40.

I think the various folks who have “cracked” the comp pick formula have predicted it will be a 4th.

Wrong Qbs, and none should go in the 1st.
    Also I don't think J.P last until the 7th.
    Otherwise

Mac I would love this draft. If the Steelers stay at 20 I think Ridder is definitely in play. Probably the best leader of this QB crop. Just as fast as Willis but with better mechanics. He could end up being a steal if he sits behind Trubisky for a year and develops.

No way Cine makes it to us in the 2nd but that would be awesome if he did.

Walker is definitely in play in the 3rd

Beavers and Lindstrom are players the Steelers seem to covet but they will be long gone before the 7th. I think Beavers could easily go in the 3rd.

i have seen them both all over the place. if lindstrum is gone i could see them going with chasen hines from LSU. they did visit with him at the combine. not sure about beavers. ross from michigan could also be in play at that point. so much depends on how it falls.
