Ok friends, I need some help-

Originally I had hoped to be in NJ to see the Steelers game this weekend. However, I was given the opportunity to get a free trip to Paris this weekend (!) so I had to go...

Hoping to still get a chance to watch or listen to the Steelers somehow this weekend. I should have access to wifi during the time of the game there (7 pm EST), I have a lifetime membership to Sirius XM, and I have the Sunday Ticket app on my Iphone and Ipad. However, I doubt the latter two will work over there.

Anyone over there on here, or someone who might know how I can see this game?

    thanks

I'd like to consider myself an expert on this subject matter, but I don't know what help I can give having never been to Europe. I would think you would have to use a VPN to listen to Sirius online from there. I'll send you a pm with some sites you can try for streaming.

GamePass from the NFL can be bought for $14.99 that gives you full access for 7 days. Only issue is getting access on your iPhone or iPad you're locked into the US store if I'm not mistaken, so you won't be able to get the app.

    * pain in the butt way: If you have someone with an iTunes account that's not US or Canada, they can log-in on your device and get the FREE app downloaded. It stays there even after they log-out until the app is updated or you do a sync with your library.

    * Easier: If you have access to a regular computer (laptop) or an android tablet (the google play store lets you get the NFL GamePass app) you can use the NFL.

In my experience you get really good quality, but the game does tend to run about 15 seconds to almost a full minute behind sometimes

Can you buy Game Pass if you have a US billing address?

Yes! It just won't let you see the buttons on the browser for GamePass (buy or view) if it detects you're coming from a US/Canada/Mexico IP address. It'll show you Game Rewind, which is separate bnilling.

Go to The Great Canadian! Just make sure you arrive early to get a good seat.

Our you could go to the Great Canadian like that guy said!

I've used GamePass off and on for the last 7 years, first time was in Wales in 2008. Had it work in Hungary, Germany and Bahrain. Currently been using it from Japan for the last 3 years.

thanks so much guys, flying out tomorrow night.

SiriusXm has btw worked for me in Europe before (in Italy and the UK) so we will see what happens. Audio is fine- I'm guessing that at that particular time I'll be at some dinner banquet somewhere, so I'll have to listen on the QT.

ok, guys- thanks for your help. I did get the whole game in,and your suggestions and help on this thread and via PM were essential. Too bad the game was such a stinker.

First of all, some things I discovered-

Sunday Ticket app overseas works until game time, then no games are shown. Did not check and see if the Red Zone channel worked.

Sirius XM app does work- as long as you are in a Wifi environment. When you go to a roaming state, it won't be able to recognize your location overseas, so you don't get any game feeds.
This is now the 4th country I've had the app work in, even though I was told it won't work outside of the USA. Not true! The music stations work in wifi and roaming.

The Game Pass worked perfectly- with excellent sound but a long delay- in wifi and roaming states.

I found the Grand Canadian easily enough, it is in an excellent location, right by the Seine. The place is great, it's a Steelers spot, they had 3 1:00 games there but the Steelers were the one on the big screen. I watched the 1st half with 4 other Steelers fans, a couple of Jets fans there too. Place was not crowded.
Wait staff great, food good with good N. American and Euro beverage choices. It's just like any football bar at home.

I had to leave at halftime to go with my group, who were doing a Seine boat ride near by. I listened to the rest of the game on Game Pass (I had the maximum international data plan from ATT and the 2nd half on audio was about 100 MB, maybe less).

Will post pic from inside Grand Canadian later, thanks again everyone!

Good to hear the trip went well, jimmy - just a shame about the game itself!
