Coaching is everything in the NFL. Look at the Pats They always have late picks but didn't need to have any kind of a rebuild. They had one down year after losing their starting QB, and now Belichek has them right back at the top despite having a rookie QB and lack of star players.

Since Belichek took over the Pats, it doesn't matter which players they lose, that team just keeps on rolling. They never need to rebuild. Even with crappy Matt Cassell, they went 11-5.

Since 2010, this team has had virtually no playoff success, despite having a ton of talent. We've wasted so much talent over the years.

Top to bottom needs to go. We keep changing position coaches or coordinators and it seems we're just getting worse. Need to cut the head of the snake off for real change. We know that is impossible. We have owners that run a football team like some social club and not as a business that should prioritize performance over relationships and tenure. They probably make a good amount of money doing things the way they always have so there is zero incentive to change. They are still living off of the reputation of long ago and don't realize it's not scaring anyone anymore and it has worn out. The Rooney's, i believe, hold more value in having the fewest coaches over the past 40 years than having the most rings. JMO>

The last Steelers dynasty ended in 1983-1984. With the retirement of Terry Bradshaw, Jack Lambert and Joe Greene.

Why do people use the word "dynasty"...so casually?

Dynasty is for EPIC NFL teams.

    Examples:

    Steelers of the 70's

    49ers of the 80's

    Cowboys of the 90's

Patriots of the 00's and 10's.

Those are fu*king Dynasties....not Tomlin regime Steelers.

New England did it in one season with a #15 QB draft pick and a wealth of free agents.

Let’s hope the Steelers can do the same. Belichick has always been able to put a solid defence on the field and they already had a mostly good offensive line and some guys that could run the ball. It was really about finding a QB for the Pats. If they get a WR1 they will be a big problem again in the coming years

I think the Steelers are in worse shape going in to 2022 than the Pats were going in to 2020. Best case the Steelers are competitive in the division again in 2023 if they can find a QB

Bring in a new coaching staff and QB, veteran by trade if you want to win more quickly or draft a QB, looks like they will be in good position if there are any they like.

The defense is struggling but its because the offense is awful, there is no room for error because they know the offense won’t be able to score enough points.

Tomlin, Canada, Butler, all gone. Too many players saying things, where there is smoke there is fire.

There is talent on this team, don’t squander it with half ass fixes.

About time we steal a play right out of SDOT's playbook and boycott him. Why does everyone feel compelled to respond to obvious lunacy and mocking? He would have to constantly bump his own threads to retain that page 1 presence that everyone keeps giving him.
