I know it's really hard to find time to track down game tape and sit and watch it, and as a result we forge opinions based on other people's opinions or a couple of highlight reels. I thought compiling real game film here might make it easier for people, as well as give us a thread to discuss each player. Hopefully by looking at these instead of highlight reels, we can get a more accurate picture of what these guys bring to the table. I love highlight reels, but only when I want to get pumped about a player, not when I want to really learn.

I hope you find the time to watch some and let us know what you think!

Shrine Game - note, he's playing LCB, not RCB like the video says:

    My thoughts:

There isn't a ton of tape there of him in coverage. It seems like he was rarely targeted, which is a good thing. He didn't seem especially good or bad to me as a cover man, but the sample size was small. Great INT in the Shrine Game.

Tons of footage of him in run support. Outside of a few embarrassing whiffs, I think he's really good there. He seems like a solid tackler who is willing to stick his nose wherever. He's not a human bullet like Shemarko Thomas. I think he's less threatening, but more consistent than him. He also looks like he can recover well after mistakes, and is very conscious of the ball in the RB's hands and likes to try to take it out. We definitely don't have enough of that here.

The athleticism is there. With Lake and LeBeau he could torn out to be good.

    I am extremely impressed!
How did this kid not get picked in the first round?!?
Always around the ball, solid tackling skills, and tries to rip the ball out, but not at the expense of missing the tackle.
Jarvis Jones has better tape than this???!!!
WOW... His average play, looks like most highlight reels!
    Very Impressive!

Ok, I'm really off my game watching tape. Not as impressed with this kid as some of you. Doesn't mean I don't like him or that I don't think he has potential. I agree that he seems to be around the ball. I don't think he is very strong and looks like a blocker can easily take him out of the play. I thought his tackling was ok. If he can get his arms around the ball carriers feet or legs he was a sure tackler but anything higher and he is not as good. I really wish I could have seen more of him in coverage but oh, well. I hope he is better than I think he is.
