Jarvis is highlighted every play. Johnson is Vanderbilt's LT, #67.

They go head to head 12 times. I'd say Jarvis gets the better of him, but I still like the way Johnson works. Glad to have these two on the team.

A rough diamond, but a diamond nonetheless.

didn't realize it, but i read that munchak's johnson only allowed 2 sacks over his last 2 seasons...... that's 2 while facing sec stud pass rushers every saturday..... while i'm not ready to annoint him just yet, that's still impressive no matter how you spin it

Hmm! Both mac daddyo and now you referred to him as "munchak's johnson". ??? explain.

I'm taking this as a good sign. While the O line did improve as the season went along last year it was far from dominating and still a bit suspect. I noticed that you also had a UDFA in your pre-camp 53. [Elkins]

This is starting to remind me of the 2000? season. Coming off a pretty bad year Pit picked up Hampton and K. Bell in the draft and added Hartman in FA. Someone posted something that stuck in my head. They said something like "Shh! Keep this quiet. But this team is going to be really tough." Well that wasn't exactly what he said but you get the idea. It turned out he was right. Pit went on from there and had a long run of really good teams. My pre-camp impression is Pit is on the same track.

btw: While we are on the OL. I was wondering if that center brought in last year was still around. He did a real good job filling in for Pouncey. Now if he could also play guard then the OL depth problem would be solved for sure. A proven player that could fill in at guard or center in case of injury. Hey! We are always talking competition here, well, the more the better.

Velasco? He's not around (recovering from surgery, hasn't been picked up).
    Cody Wallace is about though.

and now he has one of the best in the business coaching him. I can't wait til munchak inserts his Johnson. heck, 2 sacks in one year and ben will buy him a rolls Royce. LOL:smiley1::cool:

There sure are a lot of Johnson's in the NFL. It think it may have taken over as the most common last name.

I did a profile search on Wesley Johnson and accidentally hit Will Johnson. This got me to thinking. Is Will J. Haley's Johnson? Nope Haley was not here when he came in. Then it probably is Tomlin's Johnson. He sort of found him at that WV pro-day. Then again maybe it is Colbert's Johnson. He was there also I think. Anyway there are now over 50 in the league.

    Williams - 50---still 50
    Johnson - 48---[now over 50---51 or 52] I counted real fast
    Smith - 41-----now 45
    Brown - 37----now 34
    Jones - 29 ----now 38

    Davis - 28
    Thomas - 22
    Jackson - 21

As of the 2009 season, 1/11/2010. from wiki.answers.com

Interesting. I've never put much thought into it, but I guess I would have assumed that Jones was the most common in the league, with Williams at a close second.

Cromartie being in the top 5. :lolol:

Cromartie will be the most popular name in a few years. Just gotta give the kids time to get through high school. Just like Kemp will be for the NBA... :lolol:

I wonder who has more kids, Cromartie or Shawn Kemp? I would bet between the two of them they would have a small school...
