Well KC looked pretty damn good. They're getting to 10 wins. It looks like the Jets and Raiders have dropped off, but now either Indy or Houston has entered the WC race so it's Pittsburgh, KC, Indy/Hou (whoever doesn't win the south) and Buffalo for 2 spots.

Unfortunately, the Steelers lose the tiebreaker to all of them right now (with a chance to flip that vs Indy). KC owns a 2.5 game tiebreaker lead, but the Steelers are a game up in the standings. Assuming the Bills lose tomorrow, the Steelers will have a game lead on them.

Fortunately for the Steelers, Buffalo plays Houston and KC and the Texans also play the Pats. KC is likely getting to 10 wins, if not 11. So the Steelers really need to beat Indy and Cincy (since it will be big in tiebreakers both in conference and in common opponents with both Buffalo and Houston).

If the Steelers beat Indy, Cincy, Clev and Balt, they should get in. If they go 3-3, it's going to tiebreakers and it's a toss up at that point.

The least harmful game to lose is next week at Seattle. It's not a conference game and it's not a common opponent with anyone going for the playoffs (other than Cincy).

    Root for
    NE to beat Buffalo
    KC to beat Buffalo
    Buffalo to beat Houston
NE to beat Houston (giving the Texans 7 losses)

If that happens the Steelers would win a 10-6 tie with the Bills due to common opponents (assuming the Steelers beat Indy, Cincy, Clev and Balt) by having a 5 game common schedule (Cincy x2, Indy, NE, KC vs NE x 2, Indy, Cincy, KC). The Steelers would be 2-3 (beating Cincy and Indy, losing to Cincy, NE, KC) and the Bills would be 1-4 (losing twice to NE, losing to KC and Cincy and beating Indy).

The Steelers losing to either Indy or Cincy will hurt in tiebreakers with the Bills.

Steelers need to go 4-2 in the final 6 and they should be in.

    They control their playoff fate.

I don't see Buffalo or KC running the table and winning all their final 6 games either.

The lose in KC as everyone has said looked harmless when it occurred but oh boy! Hopefully Steelers take care of what they have control of and let those other things sort themselves out. Big Ben and the line need to come back healthy and the Seahawks need to go down first. One other note, can someone please tell Brown to stop with the somersaults into the end zone now and the showboating, I mean where are the Veterans and the Coach on this Team!! Oh thats right Tomlin, never mind.....

You guys do realize that there are two Wildcard spots right.
Maybe KC and the Steelers occupy them both in the end?

I much rather be a 6th seed. If your the 6th seed we can play Denver, who I assume will have a better record than the Colts.
Go to Denver beat them with a QB who has never started a playoff game, and his name isn't Tim Tebow.
Then get to go to New England, off the bye week, 1st round they might be rusty and we can catch them off guard and have a shot.

But it's such a long way to go, who know's what will happen. It should be interesting.

I think 4-2 over the last 6 games gets them in at 10-6 as well no matter what the Bills do. I don't see the Bills going 5-1 in their last 6 games to get to 10-6 I just don't. Same can be said with Houston as well as the Jets. 4-2 is very doable with games against Indy with Hasselbeck,Baltimore without Flacco now, and at Cleveland to close out the year. That should get them to 9 wins and then just win one of the three games with Denver at home or at Cincy or at Seattle and that puts you at 10 wins.

Under Andy Reid for 3 years, the Chiefs went 11-5 his first year and lost in the first round of the playoffs, last year they went 9-7 and this year they are 5-5 and I dont expect them to finish much stronger than 9-7, they might get to 10-6: But, because these december games bring out the best in the better teams and the best in the worse teams who have nothing to lose by being the spoilers, and the players are playing to keep their job for next year so in december there are no easy games....

KC looks the scariest to face in the AFC, yes even over the patsies. The patsies look beatable right now.
