Omar is out of his league in dealing with Washington GM - Adam Peters.
Terry McLaurin would be a really nice addition, even at 30. If there's any 30-year old WR I have confidence in, it is McLaurin.
But I think the price tag is too much.
Not only do you pay him $30mil/yr but you have to give up something and Peters will be a devil to negotiate with.

Terry really isn't the #1 on that team anymore. They spread the ball around now with their young QB. I think at this stage of his career he is becoming a #2 even though he is still dangerous.

Maybe Terry doesn't want to come to that realization yet and wants one more big pay day?

I still think he would be a great fit in this offense, and he would probably be happier in Pittsburgh playing with Rodgers.

I gave a suggested name to a chiropractor who manages a team in one of my fantasy leagues - DC White Skeletons. He loved the name because of all the hidden meanings. DC for Washington and doctor of chiropractic; White, playing on the word Red; Skeletons, playing on the word skins, chiropractic, and where the bodies are buried in Washington; as well as, all the political correctness innuendo.

If they were to pull off a trade and sign that would signal that the run first offense would take a back seat.

    McLaurin is a #1.

I believe that he will be retained by Washington. They are on the upward track and he would be a huge loss.

Can't see Bags and Smith venturing away from the run first mentality. Unless they are getting shelled.

They will add a receiver but not a big name on the cut wire.

I love it also, and I even like the later seasons, but in a different way. Did You know that Keith David who plays the President on there, who wasn't on the last season.....is getting his own show on there, and that's why he wasn't on the last season of Rick and Morty??? I believe it's going to be called President Curtis.

McLaurin is most definitely a #1, especially on that team. Something like 13 TDs last year and when they were in a pinch, he was the go to guy.
Problem is, they need a guy to stretch the field, I think they have one now.
    And Debo Samuel to boot.

I would be pretty confident that he can put up 2 more seasons of 1000 yards barring injury.

I think he has a wary on eye on Pittsburgh. Rogers is at the end of the line and no certainty in the future.
Washington has also made it very clear that aren't trading him. Of course we know that can change with a bag full of loot.
In the end, I think it's like the SF receiver, flirting with Pittsburgh and Lynch gave him his money (he promptly wound up on iR so he's big in the owe column)
I think Peters will get a deal done. It's just saber rattling.

This is not the Dan Snyder redskins we're talking about here..... they will pay Mclauren...
It would take a herschel Walker esque haul to pry scary Terry out of Washington

My exact thought. Fill the spot they are about to lose with young speed guy with upside on a cheap deal, and give them some youth in the draft.

we will take the proven vet thirsty for success while we still have and will have a cheap QB position.

Keith David and Rowdy Roddy Piper had one of the longest and greatest fight scenes in "They Live".

He is the real deal...but the Jets made a similar move to try to help AAron last year...and it did not translate into victories.

Not arguing but that would basically be about $63 Million a year for the WR room

I did a lot of contract negotiations over the years some for hundreds of millions of dollars

I never had trouble with people who are difficult to work with sometimes it was easier

Know what you want and what you are willing to offer

Make a fair offer and if you don’t get a favorable response or at least a reasonable counter offer then politely stand up reach your hand out say thank you for your time and walk out

If they don’t follow you then you were never going to get it done

If they do you are now in a more favorable position than they are

Never take it personal never involve emotion always know what the walk away point is

Never put yourself in a position of need where you can’t happily walk away
