Not going to talk about politics.

Art II is more concerned about political correctness than he is about winning Super Bowls.

Tomlin was asked today about the Redskins rumor and gave a real interesting answer saying he is a coach of a 1-4 football team going on the road to play a hall of fame QB. Maybe I’m reading too much based on that answer but he didn’t completely dismiss it or say I don’t deal in hypotheticals like he mentioned 15 other times at the press conference. I just found his response to that question very interesting.

I don't see Rivers as HOF material.

Tomlin is not dumb enough to go to Washington and coach for that owner when he could basically name who he wants to coach for next.

Rooney will never fire Tomlin..........I hope I'm wrong about that.

If this season spirals out of control you never know what can happen. I don’t expect Tomlin to be fired either and still think he will probably be the coach here next year. But I don’t think it’s an absolute slam dunk guarantee either that he definitely be coaching the Steelers in the next 2 years.

I don't think "we" have any choice and Rooney will never get rid of him.

At what point does Tomlin get the sh*ts of being coach here?

Cowher coached for 15 seasons, Tomlin is currently at 12.

Like I said before, his son declaring for Maryland is big. AND Tomlin is a VA Beach guy.

My advice is to ignore political nonsense and not get baited/quote/respond. I don't want to kick some nuts, but I will kick some nuts.

I've wanted a new HC since the Jacksonville playoff loss, but with that said... Tomlin would be insane to leave Steelers for Redskins. I don't see Tomlin getting fired no matter what happens this year.

The one thing we always had at the HC position is stability. How much faith do you have in who is searching for the next hire? Is Rooney going to let his liberal bias effect the hire?

I think Tomlin has to agree to the trade for it to happen. The only way he would consider it would be if the money the Skins were offering was just too much to turn down. That is possible because Snyder is a billionaire who is off of his rocker.

What is with this obsession with Munch for HC? He doesn't want to come back here.

Does he have a no trade clause? I am not sure he has a say in it really but I don’t know for sure.

From what I read on NBC's sports page it isn't as simple as Snyder calling Rooney and saying I'll give you my first round pick for Tomlin and Rooney saying sure I'll send him there immediately. Snyder has to contact Tomlin first and work out a contract that is satisfactory to Tomlin. Snyder then has to contact the Steelers and tell them he has a contract worked out with Tomlin and what compensation do they want in order for Pittsburgh to release Tomlin from the Steeler contract.
2 things could stop it. First Tomlin could say he didn't want to coach the Skins or the Steelers weren't satisfied with what the Redskins were offering.

I would imagine he would want GM powers too though, or at least more of a say on staff than he has here.

Did you miss him thanking Obama after the Super Bowl win? I’m telling you a minority coach is at the top of his list.
