Probably You are correct, but they shouldn't have let Him until He was completely checked out. Although if a Guy says it's not that bad You kinda have to go by what they say on certain injuries until You can get them properly looked at. So...

Oh, OK, let's go all the way back to last year, his only other play in the NFL. He was 32nd in QB rating. So, that's pretty good, right? Just checking.

You know very well that he was rock solid after the first few games (against some of the leagues best defenses). Maybe you don't. Blind PIckett haters that are Steeler fans are a joke.

Yea, OK there, "GoldBurgh," OK there. He played so awesome that he ended up with the 32nd-lowest QB rating in the NFL. That's great, right? A pin, a pickle, a nondescript debilitator. You just go there, boy. :roflmao:

Clearly, they didn't check him out properly. Anyone who is good at that job could have done a proper evaluation in 10 minutes or less.

What exactly is your end game then? No one on here is disputing how horribly Pickett played Sunday and there aren't a whole lot of people who seem overly confident that he will work out as a solid starting quarterback. So my question to you is then, what are they supposed to do now with him? Sit him down and ride Trubs or Rudolph the rest of the year? Doesn't seem to make much sense to me to sit down a guy who MAY not work out for two guys who HAVE not worked out.

Just like most internet forums, some have to be "right". They'd choose being "right" on the internet over actually winning the Superbowl and being wrong. It's very real.

Kenny had an off day that's all it was. I remember Ben having a few of those too. KP has a lot of fire in him to be a good Qb, it's early in the season give him a chance to redeem himself.

I don’t like that he wears them, in general they make you less accurate not more but he has been wearing them his whole career whether its cold out or not so it really shouldn’t be a problem but I can’t help think that sometimes it is. Just about every game there is a throw that you are like where the heck was that to and I bet that is one that got away from him because of the gloves.

Right out of college playing in Staten Island two hand touch I horsed around with Newman gloves for receiving and when I used to throw the ball around with the boys every once in awhile the glove wouldn't release the same and stick a bit more and the ball would come out off target. The gloves he's using I assume are different (don't know if they even have tack) but if he's comfortable with them is all that matters. However I agree there will be throws at times that the gloves will impact the throw.

There are spotters whose entire job is to watch for players showing signs of concussion during a game. Players aren't sent for evaluation just because they hit their heads on the ground.

You've done MMA right? I'm curious if it's a real thing that you see in movies where the doctor or ref goes to check a guy and a teammate or coach taps the leg to correspond to the number of fingers they are supposed to see.

This, all day. They might be Steeler fans, but that takes a back seat to being right. I have been around long enough to learn the signs and avoid people like these. Then there are the ones that are just trolls. Generally negative about everything and a compliment is usually backhanded. I think most of them are just fantasy football fans or fans of other teams. I get the criticism of Pickett. He deserves it after last Sunday. But you have to keep running him out there. As someone else pointed out, do you really want Mitch or Mason out there? KP is in his second year. Have to give him a fair shot. 40-45 games?

You can’t go to Mitch or Mason they have both proven to be terrible with no future. Pointless to make that move. If he sucks this year we are in the QB market next year. Dare I say tank for Caleb????

His hands are small Goldie. It was talked about a lot during the draft.

And it’s par for the course…

If you can see by this picture how the small hands in ratio to a football could make throwing difficult.

He was sooo inaccurate in cold weather last year. Some of you are an embarrassment with the knee jerk blow it all up BS after one game.
