Yes they looked complacent and they had no right to be. This offence doesn’t put up points and has to be fully focused ahead of every game. All the errors, penalties etc, they had the look of a team that expected an easy win. Ridiculous at this level

That said, it was a game where many things went against them and losing Kenny was huge. He may not be great but he is a hell of a lot better than Mitch

Of course, it happened under Cowher, especially in the period when the Steelers were bad like when the Steelers had a streak of 6-18 at the end of 1998 to the first 3 games of the 2000 season, but I would be very surprised if his number of losses against losing record is close to Tomlin

Remember when the Steelers dominated 41-0 against the Browns and 35-21 vs Lions in the final 2 games of the 2005 season to make the playoffs?...I don't think it would have been easy like that under Tomlin.... It would have been a very close game at the end in at least one of his 2 games

There is no surprise that this happened. I don't want to hear Cowher or Noll mentioned. The past has nothing to do with the situation now.

I'm tired of hearing about winning seasons. Its stale. And it starts with the head coach.

To be handled, beaten down, never even close to winning by a team with 2 wins and had not won a game away this season is just mindless.

It was a pathetic display. And to add insult to injury the game was dragged out because of lightning delays.

This team has been doing it with smoke and mirrors.

I'm hoping they win on Thursday. At this point i'm not sure.

my guess is MikeyT was all excited about 430 yards offense and gave the team a week of rest, last week

    he is a joke

Vs the alternative, Mitch trubisky, yes, Kenny was a big loss. Mitch is just too erratic and the offence can’t ever sustain drives with him in the game.

Again, Kenny is not great but he has at least shown that he can make a few drives with the offence during games.

Warren is just surmising that is what might of happened . But the headline reads Warren says Steelers took them lightly as if was a fact but its not what he said.

Anytime a team loses to a 2 win team people will say they took them lightly. Its not like Tomlin coached them to take them lightly " Ok men all we have to do is show up"

I still have hope the front office can build a solid team we can all be proud of, but right now the Oline is still maybe average in run blocking and below avg in pass protection.

We haven t had a good center since two yrs before Pouncey retired ( yeah that's what I meant to say Pouncey was getting pushed around his last 2 yrs and they should of drafted his replacement sooner instead of reaching for a guard who played 5 or 6 games at centre) , and Colbert or who ever makes the calls didn t invest enough draft capitol in the Oline since they drafted Pouncey n DD .

The Oline is the engine that moves the offense. Poor drafting and a serious lack of coaching skills.

Did anyone see the picture they put up last night of Andy Reid when he was with Green Bay as an Oline coach I think there were 4 or 5 head coaches that came out of that staff.

Well, whatever the reason, it's very typical over the last 7 or 8 years under Tomlin.

I have to decide if it's worth staying up to hear if Boz scores the winning FG in the last second of OT in a 0-0 game. But alas a tie and one more win keeps the non-losing season retroact alive for yet one more year for MT!

All teams do but this is a frequent occurrence with Tomlin! Once in a while is just life, you can't win them all but Tomlin loses more than he wins!!

Warren basically outed Tomlin. He's doing God's work. Remember, it was players making comments to the press ("We weren't prepared for a zone defense") that I think ultimately got Canada fired. At minimum, it suggests that Tomlin has lost the locker room. One almost gets the sense that Warren was directing his answer to Art Rooney more than the press or the fan base. It might get him in trouble, but it could also be a catalyst for change (ie not renewing Tomlin's contract next time).

Just a PATHETIC loss. You beat a 2 and 10 team at home, another 2 and 10 team at home and then a Burrow-less Bengals team at home and you cruise to 10 wins and a playoff birth with each additional win being better seeding.

    Damn you Steelers!

I agree with Madden's take on this team, regarding this kind of attitude - “They are the worst kind of bad team. They’re a bad team that thinks they’re a good team. They don’t have an underdog perspective. They don’t scrap and claw. As a result, they just (stink). There’s nothing about the Steelers to like,” Madden said. “The offensive line stinks. The wide receivers are divas who don’t produce. They totally forgot about Pat Freiermuth (on Sunday). They’ve just gotten everything wrong — especially offensively.”
