I honestly can't think of what they are referring to, but color me surprised it drew a fine either way!

Lol! The fine should be more, but nobody can remember what it was about!

It was the last drive in regulation, right before the two straight sacks. Ben had completed a pass to AB, Ware reaching out to try to grab Bens should swatted him on the back of the helmet. I didn't look like much to me, and apparently didn't to others on this board, but it WAS a blow to the head and drew a 15-yd penalty. It gave the Steelers 1st and 10 on their 46 with about 1:20 left.

 

I remember the play and said "there is a fine".

What a strange amount. Goodell must have picked up a new dart board with more numbers on it.

 

Of course no one remembers it, it wasnt Tom Brady, so they didnt make a big deal out of it. So, THATS why he threw the interception. After the hit they were saying Ben looked dazed blah blah blah but then they shut up. They must have gotten the call. lol And Ben did his drama queen acting for everybody.

As much as I hate the Crybabies, it was far from a fine to the tune of $15k.

Nope... it's all about consistency. A hit to the head is a hit to the head. The rule has nothing to intent.

 

Goodell heard fine and Steelers in the same sentence and immediately wrote 150k. When he realized that it were the Cowboys that were being fined he just erased a zero. He didn't feel like writing a new press release.

 

And then he added $750 to it.

 

maybe he figured that would cover his cost for beers with his buddies next week.

 

It may have been the play when he stiffed armed Foote for about 5yds holding his facemask.

 

Yep, He got about 10 yard by grabbing Foots face mask and holding him off like that. Not sure why they don't call illegal hands to the face on that?

 

im sure the refs couldnt see Foote being dragged by his face for 10 yards. they probably figures he just ran that way.
