all the great coaching chuks was getting up in New England? He got benched after 12 snaps last week and is now on the exempt/left team list. Must be pat meyers fault

Tomlin waited 5 long years to bench him!

Of course, it didn't help that Colbert kept him when he was a free agent

Agree. It is Pat Meyers fault for Starting Chucks all those years. :)

Only took a real O-Line coach 12 plays to see how bad Chucks played.

Or perhaps it was because we didn’t have anyone better. Before you even point to jones try not to forget he admitted he wasn’t ready last year. So far this year it doesn’t appear he’s ready either. Oh wait the mythical injury

You would have to be a blind man or Pat Meyer to not see that Jones was struggling after he hurt his elbow and they slapped a brace on it. Only an idiot would have kept playing Jones in Preseason games, like Pat Meyer did.

Now it is week 2 of the regular season, and we are finally having Jones rest his elbow and get healthy.

How do we set Pat Meyer down?

Go watch last season and you’ll see the same crap you’ve seen so far this season. Guess what Brice? No armbrace

I still like Jones at RT and Troy at LT for the Steelers future. So, I was upset with Pat Meyer all through training camp and preseason for his left/right tackle situation.

Don’t care what you’re upset about. It’s no different then your year long obsession with Larry O’s physical.

Sounds more like a personal issue than playing ability.

He ended up in Tomlins doghouse, too.

    Agree completely

Meanwhile us couch coaches saw that he sucked in less than 12 plays....

Hey, it takes time to assess a player's potential. Sometimes that time is over more than 1 season. Sometimes it takes 6 years and 77 games during the season, 6 pre-seasons, and 6 training camps. It all depends on the coaching and what they see in the player.

And then other times, it takes 1 training camp, 1 preseason and part of 1 game apparently......lol

I would also like to point out that much like Mike Tomlin, Okorafor has never had a losing season.......how bad can he be? :p

He verbally expressed the desire to quit at the end of a game. Apologized for it in the locker room and was subsequently benched. As he should have been

As bad as the tackle situation is now, without Jones and backup-backup OT Dylan Cook already on IR would you pull the trigger on Chucks if released?

Spencer Anderson playing guard, and Dan Moore limping around earlier in the week I am not to sure if they have other options

Hey, I am driving to Carolina if the Steelers need someone to give DJ a ride to Pittsburgh. :)

But, don't call me for Chuks.

He did, but he was not good. Just getting him out of the lineup made a huge difference last season.
