I actually kinda like the latest Walter football mock for the steelers (well, let's say I like the way the first 3 rounds played out for us), beyond the 3rd I haven't seen much on those players.

    1) Justin Gilbert, CB
    2) Louis Nix, NT
    3) comp pick Donte Moncrief WR
    4) James Gayle, DE/OLB
    5) Antone Exum, CB
    5) Max Bullough, ILB
    6) John Urschel, G
    6) Kirby Van Der Kamp, Punter
    7) Rob Blanchflower, TE

This wouldn't be a bad result IMO. Not quite what I would do, but OK. Definitely go o line or RB instead of a punter in the 6th. I know that (per Snack) punters ARE technically football players, but I don't know that they're draftable football players.

Obviously that would be a great draft (Punter not necessary), but the only way Moncrief lasts until #97 is he he gets arrested tonight :lolol:

Yeah, no way the first three picks could be any better than that. Nix in the 2nd followed by Moncrief in the 3rd? That would be epic.

My only real reservation is that I see OLB as a significant need. We are already thin there, and it's looking like Worilds is a big question mark for 2015. Is Gayle going to be able to be a starter in 2015? I see flashes there, but just flashes. He could be anywhere from adequate to out of the league quickly ala Gibson.

I would be very happy with that draft. Number One...Make it so.

Why? Did the punter smoke crack and punch his coach? Sorry! Couldn't resist ;)

I don't think a punter late 6th round is all that bad. Probability of a 6th round RB or other position actually making the roster is very low in the 6th.

I think Gilbert is a poor fit for us and hate using a 2nd round pick on a NT.
