But I don't ever remember the Steelers trading a player-for-a-player. It's always for a draft pick or something. Can you remember the last time the Steelers traded a player for another player?

There was a time where I would have murdered a man if I thought it would get us Mike Pouncey. Regardless of how good he might be, and regardless of if he's better than our current interior OL, the fact is that our center and guard positions are stacked right now. There is no way we sit Maurkice or DeCastro, and Foster is actually a great backup. I know Colon could always get hurt again, but you could say that about anyone. If he can stay healthy, he'll probably be a freakin' beast, not to mention the $29 million contract. I'd hate to trade a blue chip player and in return sit down one of my best players, who happens to also be one of my most expensive players.

I'd like to keep Wallace, but if for whatever reason he had his mind made up that he simply would not play for us long term and we were going to trade him, I would really want a 1st round pick. Two 2nds isn't bad, but a 1st, especially from a team who might not do so well like Miami, would be better. Maybe Wallace + a 4th for a 1st from Miami. That's not so unreasonable, and it might land us a top 5 or top 10 pick.

It seriously is getting to the point where I saw this thread for the first time as it is now. "Wallace to Miami (Hypothetical trade)" and immediately thought to myself, "I bet that first it just said Wallace to Miami, and people freaked out and one of the mods put in the hypothetical trade part."

I thought the same thing Hack, I read it as you first saw it as well and that too was my first thought. I figured TTF or Ray put the hypothetical part up so people were not to be confused.
