Has there been any mention of a hold out, rather than him signing his tender? No one in their right mind is going to give him a big contract, plus give up their first round. Not sure if he's going to be disgruntled, or just go with it...

I also really like Wallace but as I watched him last season knowing that he would be in the beginning stages of free agency I noticed 2 alarming things,
1, He can't go up and get physical for the ball like Fitzpatrick and
2, After the catch in open field if he is grabbed he goes down easy, not like Ward or Heath
He is a fast stretch the field player that has value but nowhere near $120 mil. mark
I now hope that we get the extra first rounder and sign Brown, and Jericho C.

This is my feelings too. He can ask for $200 million for one catch...does not mean he is going to get it. He is young and this is his first go around with the system. Give the kid a break for believing what he is told and asking for the moon. I hope he stays a Steeler and for the right price. If a team is willing to be stupid enough to pay him $200 million for one catch...what would you do? Not his fault for asking.

I guess it's like that show Pawn Stars ..start high, then work your way down to what he's really worth. 5 years $40 mil? big drop from $120 but who the hell came up with that crazy # ? lol

I see only 1 way he gets any contract close to that...As Hack joked about maybe he can get a part of that up front with the rest back loaded and incentive based..

I could see a Team making a offer of 20 Mil or so signing bonus and paying him 10 mil a year or so the first 3 Seasons that would get him half way there with 5 years left....At which point he could go to 15 Mil a year if he produces at a top 5 WR level each year based on each season,if he fails to meet those levels then his salary drops back to the 10 Mil range and nothing is guarenteed past the 1st. 3 years....

That would look like a 125 Mil deal ,but would really only be a 50 Mil deal for 3 years that's right at 13 Mil a year this could be possible?

How long were Fitz or Megatron in the league before they got a big payday? I think its early for Wallace to be thinking that he is worth as much as he does but I could be wrong. Anyhow, like I said before, nothing wrong with asking. Jim92...I would have to think his agent is the one telling him that he is worth this. Who else in the NFL but an agent can even count that high?

If Mike Wallace signs a "good" deal with the Stillers.. Yinz will have some making up to do with "60 Minutes".

I honestly don't see any way Wallace stays with the Steelers for more than this season. This recent stuff on Wallace and the fact that I hard they REALLY like Brown. Which is why I wish someone would steal him for a first rounder.

I think we draft a WR somewhat early next year's draft.
