I don't know if anyone else saw. But, I don't like the gold iPhone that Wallace has in hand in the picture. Makes me feel like he wants to much.

If you want to talk old school.

Exactly! And once a deal wasnt done before camp...I knew he wouldnt show up until after it was over and possibly after most of the preseason is over. I'm sure just about any player would skip all that if they could...even if to just avoid possibly injury.

By missing camp and the preseason you avoid getting hurt...simple as that.

I'm sure that was Wallace's plan the whole time show up after preseason he doesn't need to play in those meaningless games and take a chance on getting hurt without a longterm contract.

I'm behind the Steelers 100%. I hope Wallace has a monster season!! We have one heck of a recieving corps with him. We'll be just as fine without him next year.

Yep. By waiting until today, he arrived as early as possible without having to play any preseason games. He still gives himself time to get a long-term deal with the Steelers. Should they be able to reach an agreement, then all he would have gained was a missed training camp (which doesn't sound like a gain to us, but most players would skip it if they could). The big advantage comes in case the Steelers and Wallace can't reach an agreement. In that case, he'll play the year and go somewhere else next year. But he'll only make the money if he's healthy. In that situation, why would he need the preseason and training camp? It's 4 games and 2 months of opportunity to be injured, and the fallout from that could be disastrous for him. Could cost him millions or tens of millions of dollars depending on severity of injury and time missed.

He had reasons to miss it. He didn't want to put his one, possibly last pay day, worth up to $60 million, at risk. That's a big reason. What were his reasons to come on time? Learning the offense, chemistry with Ben, loyalty to the team. Those are good reasons too. But the severity of his missed time is totally unknown at this point. Fans are freaking out like he is the worst thing this team has ever seen, and he will never catch up after missing preseason. I haven't seen any evidence that the team is taking it personally like the fans are, and h seems pretty confident that a week of practices will do the trick. We'll never know the real answer... oh wait, yes we will. In a couple of weeks.

I don't think Wallace was very smart in how he handled this. I don't think he sounds very smart when he speaks. I don't think he is very smart. I also don't think any of my thoughts will mean diddly squat if he has a good year. I hope does. I will root for him.

Pretty sure your can buy a gold skin for an Iphone for 5 bucks at the store. Lets read less into his attire and more into his play on the field.

I wish him well this year for the team's sake but after all the holdout drama plus seeing the interview below on the steelers.com site I don't give a :bscow: about him as a person or as a long term Steeler. He sounds more like TO or ochostinko than a Pittsburgh Steeler to me.

In what part of that interview does he sound like TO or Ocho? I didn't see any similarities at all.
