He seemed to do ok filling in to me. Did anyone else see anything. I noticed he got beat on an inside spin move on Landry's first TD, but other than that I thought he did well.

He sure didn't look out of place out there. I thought he showed quite well.

If you don't notice the left tackle it's a good thing.

Al filled in nicely. He is one huge dude.

We might need to sign another lineman or bring up one from the practice squad. I wonder who?

Kelvin Beachum is a pretty good tackle. I wouldn't say that he isn't good.

AV looked better than Adams ever did at LT.

He did fairly well for himself. He has some things to improve on, but I expect as he adjusts to game speed and gets starting reps in practice, he'll get better.

Oh stop patting yourself on the back Mac. :nea:When you talk up every undrafted player who comes though the door, it's unavoidable that you'll be right once in a while. A lot of us were optimistic about AV from day 1.

Reminds me of the time i went to the Horse races with my Dad and my Grandpa when I was a kid. My Grandpa said I won that race and my Dad said "well I hope so you bet every dam horse in the race" I looked at my Grandpa and he had a huge stack of tickets in front of him and it was just the first race. I giggled a little bit and my Grandpa gave me the death stare.

And 10 that can't play for every one that can. I can still remember when Vic S'oto was the savior of our pass rush...

I'm really hopeful that he can hold down the position long term. That way they won't have to pay Beach big bucks.

we have 14 UDFA's on the roster. also a couple that were drafted but were on practice squads. they make up a big part of our team. you can down play them all you want but many are starters and next men up for this team, so i'd say they are pretty important to us. of course when we have 90 players at the start, not all are going to be able to stick. that's just a shear numbers game. it doesn't mean they are bad players, just not enough room to keep them all.

Unfortunately for Beachum, his injury could definitely cost him a lot of money. Too bad too because he seems like a nice guy and a really hard worker. However, it may make him much more affordable if we want to re-sign him.

Now that we only have 2 OT's, I'm assuming a signing will come? Is Adams healthy enough to be the swing tackle/3rd TE?

I hope not. The less I see of Adams the better.

Idk anything about the guy... These OL injuries are starting to worry me. Two guys down for the year possibly. They are probably our two best too (maybe best 2 out of 3).

Do we have anyone to bring up? From what I recall all our guys are the C/G type. Maybe they dress four TE's and just have Spaeth as the emergency OT.

AV played a great game. He was asked to come in and fill a role and he did just that. He still has plenty to work on but overall I can't say anything bad about his performance. Like troybellringer55 said, if you don't notice the LT it's a good thing.

And the guy is huge!! I didn't realize just how big this guy actually looks out there until yesterday. Wow!

I liked the way AV played. Hope he keeps it up. Love seeing Military Veterans do good when coming into the NFL, and
    Dat's a big dude!

I think Villa got killed on that first TD pass from Landry. He did good otherwise... but cards don't have a pass rush lol. A great test will be next week.
