He's been there for a couple hours at least now.
Same here. I'd be very surprised.

Wow you're an awesome fan wishing your team to go 0-16 over a back up qb.

See, this is what I was talking about earlier. Regardless of whether or not a person supports a Vick signing, he is going to seriously polarize the fan base. Look at the disagreement on this board already and he hasn't even been signed yet. I'm just not seeing enough upside if they sign him but plenty of negatives.

I tend to jump in pretty early. I don't equate this with meeting people for the first time in real life. Sorry

So many opinions, so many different ways to look at this. Personally, I hate him. Doing what he did was not a one time mistake that he made. Not just fighting these dogs but strapping them up to a rape rack. AFTER a dog fights and is a champion, he'd retire the dog to breed her. He'd then remove all of her teeth so she wouldn't hurt the male dog.
It's not about whether Big Ben was or wasn't an ass.
It's also not about whether he deserves a second (& 3rd) chance. As much as I wish he'd get attacked by a dog, he did his time. It's about whether he should have that chance here in Pittsburgh. The Steelers just don't sign guys like this. They're a classy organization who has kept the trash out of the locker room. There's no room here for someone like him.
Not to mention, Buttfumble Sanchez (as a Jet) was better than Vick. And we all know how bad Sanchez was in a Jets uniform. Vick just isn't that good.
Gradkowski will miss 3-4 weeks. That means he MAY miss 1 or 2 regular season games. Why do we even NEED to sign someone????

I hope they put him in for a read option play vs the Ravens so Suggs can snap his knees in half.

    He made mistakes? Mistakes?

Mistakes are brushes with the law like we saw with Holmes, Gordon, Blackmon and a host of other players who have had difficulty with maturity and responsibility. Mistakes can also be overzealousness in the heat of the moment like Suh stepping on a Detroit Lion's crotch at the end of a play. There are plenty of transgressions that can qualify as a mistake. Intentionally doing what Vick did to other living creatures over an extended period of time isn't a mistake. It's disgusting.

Yes but he learned from it and grew from and was a big part in the new law that spectators can now be arrested at a dog fight. What more do people want from the man. He has done his time, donated to countless shelters while still in debt of his own, and helped get a law passed.

Just watched a Little League World Series game on ESPN. It came across the bottom several times that Grad would miss 3-4 weeks.

    1. It IS just a football team.
    2. You don't have to support them blindly or at all for that matter.
    3. I'm not questioning your fandom in the least bit.
    4. Freaking out and hoping your team goes 0-16 so it can fire it's coach for a decision you disagree with is ignorant.

Vick is just a guy we may or may not sign. Get over it.

OK I must have read wrong. Maybe the Steelers aren't sold on what little they seen from him.

People don't want to be reminded of him and his acts every time we watch the Steelers. Maybe you can look past it, a lot of us cannot.

It's not a freak out, it's an honest opinion. I have hated Vick and wished injury on him ever since he came back with the Eagles. It's not some knee-jerk reaction. Anyone who knows me, knows I hate the man. Him being on the Steelers would make me sick.

I don't think he deserves the chance to live the lucrative life of a celebrity, no. He did his time, he is a free man.. But he doesn't deserve to live like a king again.. And being a famous NFL QB is living like a king. He had his chance.
