This article brings up my biggest problem with it all.
Namely, How on earth, can the person who GAVE the suspensions, be expected to fairly hear the appeal of those same suspensions?!?!?!
Regardless of whether they were justified or not, (which I personally think they were, and should have been given to the Cravens, back when they publicly admitted they had a "bounty" on Ward, and Ben, back in the day), even when "the fuhrer" suspended the coaches, and they appealed, those "appeals" were heard by the same man who issued the suspensions.... REALLY?!?!?!...
    That just makes ZERO sense...
Even before the new C.B.A., established an "independent" review board, how could you possibly expect to get a "fair" review of an appeal, when the person who issued the suspension, was the same person in charge of hearing the "appeal"??????
This bothered me, and many other Steeler fans(and players), when Silverback was being suspended.
(One reason, why we were the only team that refused to agree to the terms of the C.B.A.)
Even the close knit "good ole boys" of NASCAR, recognize the need for someone else to review the sanctions that their chief hands out...
WOW! Ok, off my soapbox, now... G`nite.
