Exactly. The game plan was horrible and, to me, exactly why we lost.

 

this poster is spot on : when tomlin was hired He said the right things and looked the part, but unfortunately when he speaks its all empty BS. Rooneys rolled the dice on Cowher and Tomlin who were probably on very few if any teams HC radar. Cowher panned out, Tomlin is not. To be a good head coach I think you need both the X and O's and the right demeanor. I do not think Tomlin has either. I think the players are tired of his BS rhetoric and very few times does he take blame for a loss. I do not know how good cowher was with X and O's, but he knew how to win and players respected him. This team needs a more in your face coach, not a guy who stands there staring. I know these are grown men and should not need a scolding or whatever, but the reality is they do not play with the right fire. It seems like they need a big play or something to get motivated. Even in the Ravens game we looked bad until the fumble. Same with the Carolina game....This team does not come out of the gates motivated / ready to play

 

Your job probably doesn't rely on emotion at all. Odds are you could phone it in and still perform satisfactorily. That's not the case in competitive sports.
