Yeah he's been a pleasant surprise. With a short week and his ankle injury there's a good chance he won't be able to play Thursday night.

I think he has been Ok, think he missed a couple blocks and had a false start.

Agree about McDonald... but I feel bad for him, because he's not used enough in the passing game. Neither is James. Most of the Steelers FA pickups this year have performed well.... Alualu, Haden, too. Let's hope Sensabaugh can fill in adequately for Haden over the next few weeks. The jury is still out on him.

He was seen in a walking boot today though he’s not ruled out for Thursday yet.

Looks like he didn't practice today, so he may not be a go for Thurs nite.

He has been good blocking in the run game, he needs to catch the ball though.

 Wasn't he injury prone in SF? What is with some of these guys? It seems like there are players around the league who NEVER miss time and you have others (like McDonald possibly) who are regulars on the injury report as "doubtful" or "out".

Could be a TE is likelier to be injured (per snap) than other positions...

As a total geek, I’d love to find an analysis of injuries (further divided by severity, per the Injury Report categories) by position.

That was the knock on TJ when he was at Wisconsin but someone pointed out that his knee injuries were when he was a TE and guys were targeting his knees. Once he switched to defense the injuries went away.
