Nevermind all you did for us and the sure to be Hall of Fame career as many here want you gone because they think you're old and slow. Ward had an off year, so what he gave us 13 other awesome years. I pray he comes back strong next year and gives us a great season and these knuckleheads calling for him to be cut or to retire have to eat some crow.
Hines is a legend and as fans we owe him more than what some fools are posting about him.

He will have to renegotiate, I think that is a given for sure... We will not resign Cotchery some one will pay him more than us. Hines can be a decent role player if they learn how to utilize short passes every once in a while.

I say cut Ward and re-sign Crotchery. Ward looks chubby and he can't run there's a reason his playing time was cut. If he comes back he can play for the veterans minimum.

His time was cut because BA/Ben want receivers 20 yds down the field in 2 seconds... Ben wants deep options that he can't consistently hit.

Ward, Miller and Brown are our best option for controlled, dominant west-coast offense (which is seemingly what Ben wants to play), in that order.

We as fans dont owe him a damn thing. He made millions off of us. Kepping him would be a personal thing not a business thing. I like ward a lot but at the end of the day i like winning a lot more. Nothing personal its a business

anyone hear his phone call interview.... He said he had an ankle injury all year that actually needed to be scoped or will need to be scoped it clean it out. He said he had a thumb injury that kept him out of camp and in the off season Dance With the Stars took up his time for 12 weeks.

I think if he is healthy and has the time to rededicate himself he can come back, but Arians and Ben needs to make him a focus in the offense. Hines will move the chains for you in the Redzone, not the 20 yard passes to Wallace in double coverage.

So what you are saying is he would rather go dance then train and get healed up for the next season.

Before his playing time was cut, the Steelers were scoring points. After they cut his playing time, they couldnt score points. That is fact.

I didnt read the article, and I love Hines as much as the next guy (or girl), but to keep him just because he was a great WR on our team for over a decade is dumb. He is in his mid 30's and we have THREE really young talented WR's. Everyone's playing days come to an end eventually and the days of Hines being the leading guy are over. Having said that, I think he will be back at a reduced price.

What?! No...I'm saying that he wasn't healthy this year. If he needed his ankle scoped and cleaned out I think that is your answer right there why he didn't perform.

He is going to go home and get healthy for next year and, if he chooses to do so, can really rededicate himself to getting into form because he doesn't have to deal with that stupid TV show in the offseason.

I think he deserves a chance to at least fight for a spot in training camp. If he doesn't make cuts, then he doesn't make it. Simple as that.

none of those 3 help in the run game as much as ward. he's still the best at finding an open hole in a zone. there's still alot he can bring to the table.

I don't think it would just be a "personal" thing to bring him back for one more season. If he gets the scope done on his ankle and trains/rehabs all off-season, AND they are able to restructure his contract (which he says he's willing to do), then why not bring him back. If he can't hack it in training camp - thank him and cut him.

If he comes back at a big discount then yes bring him into camp but to guarantee him a spot because of what he has done just doesnt make sense to me.

Did he do anything in the playoff game. I don't think so and their has to be a reason for that. Is it BA or some other coach not playing him.

Or it could be that ankle injury hampered him all season. Maybe he jumps back from that?

I feel as if all of those who are saying Ward should be cut are only looking at numbers.

Hines is a leader. He's still one of the best blocking WRs in the league. He probably still has better hands than Wallace. Combine this with the fact the he will be taking a pay cut and it's bizarre to think the we would just let him go.

Ward is a unique and great talent that bleeds black and gold.
