Normally on second round of interviews, in person interviews, they don't leave the building.

I'm afraid you're right. Art is terrified of hiring a young staff that might take a year or two to jell. He likes the status quo and was perfectly content to run things back with Tomlin. But Tomlin quit so Art will simply bring in Mike McCarthy who is Tomlin 2.0 and coax back Rodgers to scratch out another winning season in hopes of capturing that coveted #7 seed. Then after losing by 30 in the WC round, Art will say it was another successful season and can't wait to run it back in 2027.

Chris Shula and bringing Nate Scheelhaase to be the offensive coordinator would be perfect. Brian Flores as the highest paid assistant coach in NFL history, as defensive coordinator.

That set up would be next level. Both Scheelhaase and Flores would have the ideal stage to show their skills and they would get head coaching jobs after that.

 

Joseph runs statistically better defense than Shula, and is also competing for SB as DC equally as Shula is.
