UPDATE: TJ Watt is AFC DPOY and Finalist for NFL DPOY

What I don't get is....

How can you win AFC DPOY and then seemingly lose NFL DPOY to another player in the AFC?
Makes no sense and will truly be a joke of an award if Garrett wins.

 

That’s actually funny as hell and shows you why all these awards are so dumb and meaningless.

 

Yeah he was before my time too but you had me wondering so I looked it up. Knew Thomas never had any luck and even though he was on the Browns I still felt a little sorry for him. Another decent linebacker I saw on the list that surprised me was Takeo spikes.

 

He might have been stuck in the Marvin Lewis years. Lewis actually reminds me a ton of MT right now.

Yeah I think you're right about that. When he left he ended up about 3 or differrent teams towards tye end of career I guess I was just thinking maybe he finally landed in the right spot to see the playoffs.

 

Not only a joke, but an ABSOLUTE joke that Jussie Garrett would win any DPOY award over TJ. Ridiculous. Pathetic. Unjustifiable. Nonsensical. Perplexing. In no universe did he outperform TJ on the football field in the 2023 season and he’s not more valuable to his team than TJ is. Just doesn’t make sense, does it?

 

If only Tomlin had his team ready and beat Buffalo.
TJ would have played against Bmore and blew up LJ.
The voters would then see him tear Patrick apart.

TJ has Garrett beat on pretty much every defensive stat.....I really don't understand how an individual award can go to the guy with lower stats.

 

Seems to be some faction in and around the NFL that wants Garrett to be better than he is. Similar to Lamar Jackson.

The amount of garggling for these two players is confusing. Jackson is very good, but he isn't more valueable, ever, than Patrick Mahomes.

Garrett is a no show half the season. **** him and his birth.
