Yeah, I was just thinking how similar they look. All teams run some of the same base sets, pre snap motions, shifts, sweeps and such... and all teams specialize, KC especially. Reid came from the west coast offense and probably has more play designs in his office than anyone. Teams are scheming around the talent they have, which in the case of KC and the Steelers, is drastically different. Regardless, I haven't seen any team that refuses to push the ball down field like Pittsburgh does.

People endlessly discuss whether the problem is the OC and/or the QB(s) and/or the Oline and/or Tomlin and/or the skill players and/or the design and/or the play calling and/or the Offensive coaches. When things are this far off the rails it's very difficult to properly evaluate anything. The problem is some combination of those things, to varying degrees. Bottom line is, things don't look much different from Ben to Mitch and they should. The results will either get much better soon or we'll see what Pickett does and that will answer some questions.

Only thing missing from our offense is a talented QB that makes everyone look like geniouses.

 

Offense issues are real and been a problem especially since Big Ben injury year. What does not makes sense is we look the same as when we had a backup starting after bens injury and the. A third teamer was playing in duck and the offense looks the same now. We know the line stinks. But even Chicagos horrible line showed it can run the ball. Must be person installing and running the offense. CANADA offense stinks. How many times did we throw for two on third and 8 last year so it’s not just Mitch even though he is a c qb. Fire oc and get a nfl coordinator and then start Kenny and see if he is the answer or not because we will continue to be a 500 ish team with only averaging 14 offensive points a game.
