I believe that's the one. I will look again when the all 22 comes out. I just remembered thinking GEEZZZZ King that was Your chance at more playing time.

I truly believe King II will have more playing time for the simple fact that Chandon Sullivan simply is not just invisible but incapable of doing much of anything. Desmond King II cannot be that much worse overall and, given how this was his first game in a Steelers Uniform, I am willing to let it pass.

Having the Bye Week should aide him in a more smooth transition.

Given how the likes of Cooper Kupp and Rookie Sensation Pacua Nakua are both going to be up next, trusting either P2 or Levi is bad enough. Trusting both?!

    Yikes!!!

Been a while everyone else but I have been under the weather health wise a good bit. Regardless, here is hopefully some more confirmation. Keyword is hope.

Say what? Why the hell would he be an NFL player. Doesn't make a lot of sense but as I'm typing this I remember Deon Sanders (Neil should have torched him) at cornerback. One of the worse tacklers I ever saw.*

Don't draft a Colorado NCAA player, they may be scared to tackle;)

Lets remember folks before Ben's last season. Pouncey and Ben sitting on the bench and Pouncey telling Ben he is done. Then all of a sudden they are down a center, a franchise center. So what do they do? They look at the 3rd round of the draft and find Kendrick Green. He STARTS from day one! A rookie! And to add insult to injury Tomlin gives him the number 53, Pouncey's number :lolol: So be easy on Old Stale Popcorn Tomlin he starts rookies :roflmao:Oh add Dan Moore to that as well. You wonder why Ben got rid of the ball so fast. Oh and when they has Hassenauer who should have been starting.

The mindless decisions on this team are not new. Both Jones and Porter should be starting. But they are not quite ready for prime time right?! Someone's afraid of having a losing season?

    Oops. (Just teasing.)

They really didn't seem to like King once they got a look at him in practice.

I could care less if he likes tackling or not. He can cover.... We have exactly 0 corners on the roster ahead of him that have been covering well at all this year. Not Peterson, not Wallace, and not Sullivan. Would you rather he give up a 20 yard catch and tackle the receiver or have the receiver so locked up that the QB can't even look his way? There is actually no reason to not have the kid start at this moment in time. There's been enough tape of all the corners to conclude that Porter Jr. is our best cover corner and its not even close. He should be on opposing #1's all game, not waiting for nickel and dime snaps while Levi Wallace and Pat Pete give up 150 yards to the opposing #1.

Sorry I can't, with Stafford's quick release to his wr's it is even more important for our cb's to be up
the wr's face at line of scrimmage this week JPJ can do this.

Great shutdown play from JPJ. However, Porter Sr. needs to take him to the back of the woodshed and teach him how to tackle. He would be a complete, elite CB

    Fair point.

That said, to improve on such a concern, live reps will be needed. The desire and dedication to improve is not an issue I see in JPJ. His lack of reps are; a Coaching Problem. However, Teryl Austin and Mike Tomlin finally got out of their own ways and threw Peezy Jr into action. Only way he will learn and grow.

Will he take his lumps?! Without a doubt. Is he still the best CB on the roster?! Most definitely. Roll with the best players possible.

Again. We can't play with just two CBs the whole game. Until we get others CBs the others will have to play also. This is why I wanted to go CB in the 1st, and 2nd., and was told noooooo....Wallace, and PP are good. LoL.

On a serious note?! Well earned JPJ!! Already looks like a budding start at the position.

He will no doubt get better as time passes. Give him a running mate in either the 2024 Draft or have Rush/Trice develop and watch the results!

Part one of JPJs development seems to be complete; giving him the chance to start. Part II?! Lockdown opposing number one WR's. Not a moment too soon either. In a couple weeks... JaMarr Chase will be up next. For now?! DeAndre Hopkins is still very much a threat despite his age.

Dude is not just very good at contested catches but is as physical as they come! No better test than this for Peezy Jr!

    Go get em!! :dfense:

It took Porter half the season to learn the position and earn the right to start

    He did and he did

    Hopefully Jones does the same
