These are the two quickest fixes our team can have (personnel).

I really hope I read this news today:

    1) Montcrief gone (bring back Eli Rogers as quick fix, look for help elsewhere)
    2) Steelers trade for M Fitzpatrick

Those two would boost our team and chances.... (ehemmmm besides scheme and coaching, of course...).

My guess is Eli will be back. Chances of the Steelers trading for Fitzpatrick are very slim IMO.

too many holes for this team. we are rebuilding not re-tooling. 2014-2017 was the championship window.

cowher built team window 2004-2010 - 3 SB appearances 2 rings
tomlin built team window 2014-2017 - 0 rings 0 appearances

I think the more common out come will be Montcrief is going to see less playing time but not cut.
He's broken finger has to be affecting him, how do you drop 4 passes all of last season and have 5 in 2 games?
2 years at 9 million will be the reason why, he won't be released.
I think Rogers may come back and the Switzer experiment may be over.
Rogers comes cheap and Switz has very little money wrapped up in him.

Any case, Juju, Washington, and Johnson need to be the starting 3.
With maybe Eli Rogers and Holton spread in.

Let Johnson return kicks and punts.

lol i meant the windows in which they competed in. 2011 was the downfall of 2004-2010 like 2018 was the downfall of 2014-2017. 2012-2013 were rebuilding years.

it's nice and all that we have never had a losing season under Tomlin but other than the cheats who can maintain that level of success and legitimately compete for a super bowl?

steelers had a ton of gut wrenching losses. I am glad we have 6 rings because there are other teams with these gut wrenching losses and an empty trophy case

They've had some very exciting wins too. Possibly a 1:1 ratio...

    Great trade!
Yes, it looked to be improbable (considering our FO's approach to trades), but glad they did it!

Now, let's improve our WR group, starting with someone cleaning his locker room tomorrow!

You know I've seen Tone around the practice facility and stuff, I wonder if he can get in game shape and quick. He knows how to be great

Yes, I am really surprised KC-MT made that move.

Our D will be really improved. This guy can cover and is a playmaker.

Eli, quick fix instead of Montcrief. Still, take a shot at other WRs. There are some available with better hands than Montcrief.
Rudolph will be learning this year. He needs all support and confidence in his WRs.

Cowher had 12 years to build a team by this reckoning?

I’d say logically Cowher had a window post SB XXX, which were some of his worst seasons.

Not a Cowher v Tomlin thing (so sick of those arguments), just an observation.

EDIT: this post was made pre-coffee so I may have misread everything
