Arm strength was never an issue last year. Wonky knees and fear of getting hit was.

If he's over those two things, he can have a really good year.

wonky knees affects arm strength. at least stepping into throws affects velocity on throws. it's all relative.

Having a legitimate threat at running back will help Ben along on his retirement tour.

And it showed big time during the late season swoon.

They affect velocity, sure, but his arm was just as strong. Peyton's arm went dead in 2015. That hasn't been Ben's problem.

and that was MT's fault for letting it go on the last few games. the name on the back of the jersey at that point didn't help the team or put fear in the opposition.

Bingo. They were saying the same thing about Ben's arm before the season started last year. I forget which receiver made the comment last year about how strong Ben's arm was but like you said, for how long? Time will tell. I trust nothing in print anymore.

Neither did any of the other names with small numbers on their jerseys. ;)

Let's face it, the only thing late last season that scared anyone of this team was whether they were social distancing or not.

Agreed, and the fact that he plays injured is also a bad sign. It means we either have had no one Tomlin trusts backing him up, or that Tomlin is stupid, or both. I'm going with both.

True. Typically, 30+ throws is enough. Any more than that it is because we don't have a running game and he has to throw to play catch up.

Ben has been stat padding since his new contract, a BIG reason we are clueless on how to run.
