I couldn't find a post for the weekly TV map but here it is. Another week that my Sunday Ticket is useless and can't access the interactive stat features since it will be on the local Fox affiliate. Also exponentially increases the actual cost per game of those only viewable on the Direct TV channels. At least it's not the late game on a local affiliate where we have to wait for the early game to conclude while toggling back and forth between the Direct TV channel and the local channel like we had to do for the Raider game. Makes it crazy for trying to tape/DVR the game. Only mild complaints - got it covered under any scenario.

Week 5 and I'll have only used my Sunday ticket once :(

I used to crave nationally televised games. Now they just make me sad.

This season of not having Sunday ticket has actually worked out for me. The one game I didn't get to see on regular tv was Steelers/Raiders, but I was at Disneyland so I got to see it there. Now that i'm back home, I'll get Steelers/Eagles. I wonder if I can make it through until Sundayticket goes on sale half way through the season?

Yeah, I finally gotta head to the bar for a game...
Can`t complain TOO much, given how many games I will get to stay home for, BUT....
I can understand why the Clown`s game is on here...given where I live, but, since they are on 2 different networks, why in the HELL are they showing soccer, on the other channel, instead of the Steeler game?!?!?!
Do they REALLY think that would draw more viewers here, in football crazy N.E.OH?!?!?, Than a football game between 2 PA teams, from right across our state border?!?!?! :frustrated:   :bs: :yeehaw: :herewego:

Looks like I'll be streaming again. It's too bad that the NFL has pigeon holed themselves into this exclusive rights deal with dtv. I would pay the $200 every year without hesitation for access.

I think I just figured it out - Sunday Ticket was only created for Cleveland Brown fans residing in Elephant's Breath North Dakota where there's 0% chance of them being shown on a Sunday day game.

I'm still not sure why games on local channels get blacked out on the 700 range Direct TV channels - it's not like they skip the commercials. Like I said - it screws up using any of the on-screen stat features or the Game Mix channel. Pure lunacy. Now if Direct TV could figure a way to allow the on screen features to work on local channels it would be great.

They get blacked out in the 700s because the local affiliates want you to watch their ads and not the national ads that are on Directv. If people were to watch the Directv feed when the same game is being televised locally, it would hurt the local rating and affect ad revenue. CBS and FOX pay a bundle to televise these games, they just want them watched on their channels in markets that the game is being shown.

I see said the blind man who could not speak. Yes - the local ratings. Especially in an election year. But on the bright side - one of the few current advantages of being a Pittsburgh transplant in CA (other than needing a second mortgage to fill up the truck) is there are no presidential TV ads shown out here, regardless of the year or who's running. Not sure - but may have something to do with such a preponderance of the population tied to the entertainment industry, or enjoying subsidized lifestyles, and/or enthusiastically using drugs.

Ugh...Atlanta and Washington. If I lived 20 miles north I could see the Steelers. No babysitter this week and a terrible cold, so no bar for me. Guess I will listen over the internet. Sigh...

Sweet...at least this week I can watch the game in HD. It sucks here...as I'm right on the OH/PA/WV border...and I DO get local Pittsburgh stations...but I also get Youngstown stations...but its only the Youngstown ones I get in HD...apparently they say thats our local market (even though we're about the same distance from each). So if the game isn't going to be seen via the Youngstown stations I dont get to watch the game(s) in HD.
