Turnovers have been the key in recent Steelers / Raiders games

Here's an interesting article on the last 4 games between the Steelers and the Raiders. Even with worse records each of these years, the Raiders have won 3 of the 4, and turnovers have been a key (not a good thought right now with this years lack of turnovers):

Yeah, if memory serves, dropped INT's on the Steelers' part have played a big role. One was REALLY egregious that would have ended it. I want to say it was Anthony Madison, but I don't think that's right....

 

The last time the Steelers played the Raiders (and I think this was last year), it was a fumble by AB that killed it....

 

I think we get a couple of fumbles this week

 

Just hope we can shake the monkey this week and toss him in the Black hole.. We had compound issues last yr. I'm thinking everyone's on the same page now we fly home with the win!

 

i'd like to see us makeup for the first 5 weeks worth. that should be about 10 of them. strip sacks, interceptions, fumbles. that's nearly one for every guy on defense. is that a lot to ask?

Not just against the Faiders, but, in general..
We have had previous debates about the most important stats/keys to winning games, and I have always maintained that turnovers and penalties are the top 2...
Well, Guess who leads the league in those two categories, at this point in the season?
