Yeah he is frustrating to watch. I feel like all young QB’s including Mitch have played very tentative in our system the last three years. Ben obviously didn’t because he was experienced. But Rudolph, KP and Mitch have all appeared to play not to turn the ball over. That’s admirable and I’m sure they were coached up on that but man I think that style can really get in a QB’s head and stifle them. Mitch obviously threw caution to the wind and said screw it ever since he lost the starting job that is obvious. But KP for whatever reason is just off. I still think we see what he can do in a different system next year. Load up on DB’s etc. and fill the rest of the roster out. We have to also be committed to making our running game great by next year to make the offense at least functional.

If You don't think a Austin who is 5 yards ahead of everyone on the D is not a TD if it's a better throw ball ....well I don't know what to tell You.
I also mentioned the good throw that Pickens didn't drag His foot. No I didn't talk about every drop, but I didn't mention every over throw, under throw, or behind throw either. Some of You people have picked one side.....either KFP is never to blame, or KFP is at all blame. I'm 100 % behind KFP, but I believe in the truth, and the truth is....if KFP throws better, there are not drops, and the wr drags his feet....we could easily had 5 tds.

On the miss to Austin, Pickett couldn't step into his throw and he got blasted, having to throw with just his arm and banged up ribs. That is not a gimme throw.

I'm not picking one side. I said in another post that I thought Pickett missed more throws in this game than others, and I think this was the best job Canada has done of putting together a game plan and implementing that plan with good play calls combined with some good design. The whole offense looked more cohesive because adding Broderick Jones at RT got all our best offensive linemen on the field, and the running game was very effective.

Pickett missed some routine throws but seemed to know where to go more in this game. In other words, he seemed more in sync with the progressions and the right reads. I think his ribs affected him. Some will say no, but I've played with injured ribs and it does have an impact on your throws depending on the severity and how you are moving at the time of the throw. I choose to give Pickett the benefit of the doubt.

Kenny Pickett needs to continue to improve in all aspects of his game. The fact that Canada appears to be making some subtle adjustments to the scheme and adding a few wrinkles, while also being down on the field where he can interact with Pickett so they can discuss what he is seeing and what he should be looking for in certain formations with specific coverages. I think it can only help with he and Kenny being able to talk in real time and explain how the offense is designed to work, why he should throw the ball here, and the reason it works that way. It means a lot to a quarterback when they get that kind of input and coaching. They can help each other with things they are seeing in real time and also make adjustments based on how defenses are reacting to what the offense is doing.

I see the entire game as a step forward. Now I hope they continue to build on that and keep getting more efficient so they don't have to rely on fourth quarter comebacks.

I don't think comparing Kenny to Tua really means anything at the end of the day. They are different players in different situations all around. They compare that they are young and new to the league at the same position.

I'd rather compare Kenny to the many many top 10 QB 1st round picks through the last 20 years. Go look and see how many are out of the league before their second NFL contract.

As for Kenny, I say give him the whole year. If he is still slow to process and not accurate with the ball, then look to bring in additional competition next year. A huge positive with him is that he has been good at not carelessly throwing picks which is rare for a young QB.

You will not hit on 90% of the QBs you draft in the NFL in the 1st round. I pulled that number out of my azz it probably is much higher

    Only Kenny!!

On a serious note though, such occurances are rare for Tua. Cannot say the same for Kenny thus far.

I agree with it as a stepping forward point. I've said this in many a post. I actually see steps forward every game. They maybe baby steps , but they are steps. 4 games ago He wouldn't have missed the throws....because He wouldn't have even seen them. Now at least He's seeing them. Believe Me I'm 100% behind the kid.

All Qbs miss throws, or don't see open targets. The problem is when it's more likely you will than You won't.
