Tuitt and Shazier are two that we can't afford to lose, Tuitt maybe more so than Ryan. Don't rush him back, let's see what Alualu can do.

I dont think the team would stop an 80 year old lady in the run game without Shazier. Shazier and Tuitt are this generation Farrior and Aaron Smith.

I agree that they have to be patient with Tuitt. They can't afford to make this worse.

I don't know about the idea of Heyward as fragile. He had some injuries last year, but he had been remarkably healthy before that.

Please let Tuitt, Heyward, and Shazier be healthy by the end of the regular season. If 1 of those 3 are gone i dont think we will go anywhere in the playoffs.

I do not know either how this is even possible. Sounds a bit preposterous to me.

Back in 2015, both Tuitt and Heyward played roughly 89% of the snaps. Only J.J. Watt had more at 99%.

I would imagine their bodies would get drained from so much physical contact; all the more depth on the defensive line is needed nowadays.

    Glad to hear it.

Best of all, Tuitt can take it easy while Alualu and Walton can man the fort. Both are capable of doing so.

We went all the way to the AFCCG with Heyward missing the majority of last season.

Still won't matter if Steelers D gives Brady 15 yard cushions in zone coverage.

Maybe not quite 15 yards, but we seemed to be doing that last Sunday?

That's awesome that Cam has his doctorate degree for after his NFL career is finished. Maybe he can tell LeVeon how to plan for the afterlife of NFL football also.:nea:

    Great news on Tuitt!!!!

The goal for this team has to be the Super Bowl. That is not happening without improvement by the defense. They need Heyward and Tuitt to make that happen. The secondary may be better with another year of experience for Davis and Burns and the addition of Haden, but they still need a better pass rush to get past the Raiders or Patriots. The main reasons to believe they will be better in that area are the possibility of having both Heyward and Tuitt for the playoffs and the addition of Watt.

The fact that Tuitt is even being considered a possibility to play on Sunday is just huge. I, like I'm sure many of you, thought he would be done for the year. I'm shocked we got such good news.
