The Steelers activated Stephon Tuitt from the COVID reserve list today, which is a very good sign. I am sure it is posted on one of the other threads, but I think this news deserves its own thread.

I am a little confused by the timing. If he tested positive, his 10 days wouldn't be up yet. If not, he should have been activated sooner. Regardless, I'm far more optimistic about the game against Washington with Tuitt back on the field. The run defense missed him against the Ravens. Also, they need him even more in the pass rush with Dupree out.

I wonder if the Steelers might keep three defensive linemen on the field in passing situations more often. Normally, they go with two linemen inside and two outside linebackers on the edges, but it might make sense to change that now. I like Highsmith a lot, but I'd rather have Heyward, Tuitt, and Alualu on the field ahead of him.

Good, maybe Tuitt won't post anything stupid on twitter before the game, like he did before the Ravens game.

Tuitt has been a beast as he is when not injured. Good to get him back.

Seems to me the team didn’t play their best game and still won. Just like he predicted, lol

He was running his mouth that it would be a game for them to pad their stats .

With Bud out Tuitt’s impact will be needed for pressure. Glad to see him back.

They padded that W-L stat. Defensive points given up got a boost but could have been better. Tuitt should have reminded the secondary late in the game.

Tuitt shouldn't have been running his mouth, considering he wasn't even playing in the game.
