Troy P is not being used right

No, I`m realistic...Less than 100 yards rushing by any one player, less than 120 by the team...
Don`t care how many yards passing, as long as no single pass is over 20 yards....
and less than 17 points total, no matter how they get `em...
This is pretty much what we have ALWAYS done, except for the last 2 years...
And, oh yeah.... Get off the field on third down, and don`t give up a lead, at the end of the game... EVER....
That`s what we are used to as Steeler fans.
If it`s unreasonable, that`s only because we are not used to the norm of the other 31 teams in the league... we are used to OUR DEFENSE!!!!

As for Troy... I dunno, I like having him up on the line, to mess with the qb`s head, but I do think that with the supporting cast around him, it might be better to use him as a traditional safety at least half the time... his closing speed is still good enough, and his recognition skills, are still good enuff for him to come up in run support, when needed, IMHO...
As for Ryan Clark being "worthless"...

Not having his best year? Yes. Worthless? NOT EVEN CLOSE...
If it weren`t for him, we wouldn`t have the luxury of debating if we should have Troy play out of position!

This is correct, always for you young coaches out there ALWAYS option at the goal line. As TTF pointed out Clark was caught in no mans land.

Okay but you got to agree we are not getting to the quarterback like we should on passing plays... With or without Troy up close, (I don't think he has a sack yet). What the pass rush is missing and I can't figure out why we don't more of is blitz a corner or safety once in a while. The few times we did this it works.

How many times could we just sit there on pass plays and rush our 3 or 4 guys over and over again, with big cushions and watch teams drive down the field. You got to mix your defense up some and be unpredictable. Right now we are doing the same things on defense over and over and we don't have the personnel to get enough off a pass rush.
