Let the speculation begin. Steelers only team to send a scout to Colorado vs Oregon. It’s two marquee players are Shedeur and Nix of course.

Other possible targets could be Oregons DE and WR.

Travis Hunter is hurt so it wouldn’t be him.

They might be looking at quarterbacks. It would be foolish of them not too, but my guess is they’re looking at linemen and linebackers.

Probably and I would think those guys would be drafted too early anyway but I suppose you need to do your due diligence anyways.

If Pickett continues to struggle all season, it wouldn’t be out of the question at all to draft a QB.

I'm sure they have scouts all over the place. Inside Linebacker, corner and defensive tackle would be my guess. Add receiver to the list.

To think they will look at a potential QB with Pickett on his 2nd year is premature. Maybe a back up?

I would be surprised if they gave up on him after two seasons, but stranger things have happened. If Pickett doesn’t figure out how to read a zone defense with a quickness we will be watching the mitch/Rudolph show soon enough

why not draft a qb to replace the two turds we have at backup now? even if it's not for that, those two teams have some talent.

Perhaps they will draft a QB as a backup next draft but you aren’t looking at Sanders and Nix as backups.

If they’re drafting a qb next year it’s not to be a backup. They’re doing it because big k couldn’t put it together and isn’t the future

He’s isn’t the first. Someone here wanted to bring him in as OC last year

My guess is Kenny would have to stay on the course he is, as horrid as it is, in order for them to realistically look at QBs. This is the franchise who put up with Cliff Stoudt for 4 years and Mark Malone for 7. And those were two of the worst starting QBs in the NFL. But even they were not as bad as the current Kenny. My guess is Kenny will improve his play somewhat, because he really has nowhere to go but up. And even with a conservative amount of improvement, will that be enough for the team to "hold off" on drafting a new QB high?

A lot of fans are saying "no." How soon is too soon? If Pgh is going to fail, it will be on the "taking too long" end of the spectrum, as they have already proven with their handling of Matt Canada.

My opinion is you can never have too many QB's, I think if there's any doubt at all about a teams starting QB, whether it's his 1st year or 5th year, if a potential starting QB falls to you, you draft him. If there's a QB there for us in the 1st and the Steelers think he's a potential starter, they should draft him, regardless of what KP does this year. Best case scenario both of them pan out and we trade one. The miss rate on QB's is so high, if there's a guy there early in the draft, take him.

It depends on the round. We’ve had a long history of using mid - late rounders on backup QBs.

"Big Ken" will have to do nothing short of an AFC Championship game appearance this year for some to see him as a franchise QB. Even incremental improvement week to week will not win over those who never wanted him or those who've already written him off as a bust.

    This is true

But right now and adding how the season ended last year we are not seeing incremental improvement

No. He just needs to be accurate and be able to read a zone defense
