The Day 6 report on Steelers Depot had Rodgers playing at LT (swapping in for Okorafor) and Feiler at RT. But they seem to be moving everyone around right now.

Patrick Morris seems to be doing fairly well at this point, for what it's worth.

    Seriously?!?! Bucky Hodges?!?!

    Sweet!! :herewego:

A receiving tight end with the athletic capabilities to boot. Needs serious work on his overall blocking game.

Wait, what happened to the "you can't make any conclusions this early" bit? I'm confused. Which is it?

Notice how I have the term "continue" in there. To continue means to persist. That "real deal" statement was by Mark Kaboly.

Nothing has been set in stone yet. However, I do agree with you upon the aspect of confusion.

    "How" you say?

    Here is how:

I am more confused overall on two fronts. The first is your uninformed opinions of Edmunds being the source of my confusion. What amplifies this confusion in this specific scenario is how you ended up mixing my thoughts with the likes of Mark Kaboly.

Boy, you try a little too hard to sound smart. You posted MK's quotes and endorsed them; whether you realize that or not is the unknown.

On any negative reports on Edmunds, you spout off on the irrelevance of such, citing it as too early to be meaningful. But on any positive assertions, you jump into that bed as if they were facts written down on two stone tablets brought down by Moses.

The measurables on Hodges are freakish...Better than Ladarius Green, and had great production...Then, the question is...What is WRONG with him?

You are correct. I did endorse Mark Kaboly's post. I also agree that, like me, Mark is not stating he is a finished product. What he is stating here is that Terrell Edmunds, thus far, has proven himself that he can become a key assest for the team.

As for your second statement, what form of irrelevancy have I spouted? That draft grades and "analysts" have been, can be and always will be wrong? His athletic abilities and versatility will serve him well? That Tom Bradley is going to accelerate his development? That Justin Reid was not the correct choice?

These "positive" assertion you speak of are not really positive nor negative at all. These "assertions" are from the people and resources that you nor I have access to; the Steelers BLETSO Team and the Steelers College Scouting Department; to name a few. Great teams like the Steelers do not have "positive assertions". They come in each Draft with a concrete gameplan and stick to their board when the draft arrives.

Ultimately, what I observe is someone who can assist our chances. You see him as nothing more than a "reach"; something a good contingent of the board find comical.

As I have told you countless cases over, I am DONE with this. If you care so little about Edmunds, and again, as I have stated, either Ronnie Harrison or Justin Reid should suit your tastes quite well.

"I think that just comes from him being a football family and being around it," Hilton said. "It shows in the way he studies and the way he plays."

"He's not trying to figure out what to do, he's figuring out his reads and his progressions. He's moving on to the next step. The more he's out there the more he's able to make these mistakes, but he doesn't make the same mistakes twice"

Sounds exactly like what was said about Watt, and his rookie season turned out to be pretty good.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that he will be the starting strong safety by mid-season, if not sooner. You heard it here first.

I said it as soon as we drafted him. Edmunds is going to be huge against these move TE’s.

I think this coaching staff had nightmares for the past 8 months of SDavis trying to cover Gronk. Edmunds was the response to that game.

As I've said before, Virginia Tech defenders drafted high tend to do well in the NFL.

Bud Foster (VT D coordinator) is the "LeBeau/Wade Phillips" of the college ranks. The really good VT defenders are NFL ready.

1st pre-season game (Pgh at Philly) this Thursday Aug 9 at 7pm EDT/4pm PDT will be broadcast on the NFL Channel on Friday, August 10 at 10am/1pm for all of us out of the local viewing area. Good thing they cut it down to 3 hour shows - that way we won't have to watch 35 unnecessary roughness (helmet) penalty calls.
