It’s the first practice. Of course Mason is #4. You have to earn your way up.

Why.....isn't the poor effort against Jacksonville in a playoff game, a elephant in the room:shrug:

Funny that Belichick has never had to answer for benching Butler, as far as I know. He claims he "covered it" already, but I've never read/heard him do so.

But, oddly, Butler came out and admitted he wasn't "focused" heading into that game, so maybe BB was on to something.

I read somewhere that Burnett is out today, so Edmunds is taking 1st team reps.

I'm not sure how it relates to my point. The point I'm trying to make is to those who say it's in the past and there's no need to address it. Tomlin was looking ahead with his elephant in the room quote. You can learn quite a bit looking back and definitely more than looking ahead, which he clearly had no problem doing...
It's a lot harder to criticize a 5 time SB coach...I wish we had that problem....

It's way to early to be reading into any of who is getting what reps. Tomlin is always gonna lean towards the guys that have been here before. That's how he cultivates competition....he's not just gonna give the new guy a spot,he will make them earn it...

Not good regarding Burnett but good news for Edmunds. Allows him to absorb all he can at the early stages of camp; regardless of how limited it may be.

They came back in the playoff game to score 42 points, the defense just wasn't good enough no playmakers after Shazier got injured.

Yeah how come everybody was questioning Belichick's decision to bench Butler after the game? A reporter questioned Beichick about Butler this week, he refused to answer.

Players have come out and admitted that they weren't ready to play. Some of that is because your HC was distracted by the elephant in the room....that trickles down to the players. My point in all this is that if Tomlin shouldn't be looking back and addressing past poor performances then he certainly shouldn't be looking ahead to future opponents because it just leads to more poor performances in between. Hence our annual struggle with inferior opponents...

This is the kind of play we need from Burns, maybe that coaching from Bradley is working .

I don't believe I heard any players say they were not ready to play. I don't believe Tomlin was distracted. Both are something fans like you created in an effort to make a mountain out of a mole hill because the Steelers loss a game.

Maybe a couple players thought they were prepared to the point where they overlooked the Jags? Maybe the reason the Steelers thought they loss the first match up with the Jags because the offense turned the ball over? Maybe some players thought they were a better team than the Jags? Kind of like the superiority complex that some fans have in regard the Steelers' opposition.
