Rookies report on 7-21, QBs and injured players 7-23, all other players by 7-28. It's going to be good to see Ben back on the field :herewego!:

I`m surprised. Is this just putting a brave face on or what? Wonder how many rookies will sit the year out. We will see,

I wonder how many fans will sit out? I’m not sure how long fans will allow 20 something Year old millionaires and the NFL to force feed them with their political views.
    Just play football already.

Rookies haven't made a dime yet. Not even 1st round picks. None of them are sitting out.

I agree. I think a lot of things will start up, sports, schools, etc. and last a few weeks before shutting down. Imagine if things go sideways, lawyers will be having a field day down the line. I am now seeing commercials from them for things like weed killer and Zantac.

As an avid Golf fan I'm sure happy they are playing and seem to be moving forward.

Training camp goes against just about everything that is being prescribed to control the outbreaks. Thank goodness that the players take care of themselves. Interesting to see how they approach it.

Many/most of the training camp sessions in the last where open to the public. Just a thought, but could/will they video or televise practices this year?

Im tired of watching stink bugs racing.

Gloom, despair and agony on me. Deep dark depression, excessive misery. If it weren't for bad luck is have luck at all. Gloom despair and agony on me.

The glass ain't just half empty, the water in it is poisoned, too.

Sports are operating elsewhere in the world.
    Europe has reopened schools.
Geez, the must not be as smart as us.

Their doing something right I guess. Not having record # of covid cases. Then again they've been through the black plague, small potatoes now. Wish we could get there.

How the hell the players will practice in this heat is beyond me. Maybe it is a little cooler in the Burgh area. Sure the hell hope so for their benefit.

How can you look at the numbers and believe anything is going to happen this year?

The opening of Schools will send this to 100,000 new cases per day.

Can you imagine what the oddsmakers are thinking right now? There will be more lines on who suits up week to week than over/unders. And can you imagine the volatile odds week to week when marquis players contract the virus and go into self-quarantine on a Friday? Strange times. Strange times.

I'm sure the NFLNetwork will have some coverage of practices.

By what metric are the Euros doing something right? Covid deaths as % of total population? The US is doing better by that measure than the UK, Spain or Italy, and they all restarted sports.
Deaths per positive test? The US has the lowest % of any industrialized country in the world. So if you test positive in the USA, your chance of survival is higher than almost anywhere else.

Yes, we have lots of cases. But with 4% of the world population, the US has done 25% of the worlds Covid tests. We're finding heaps more cases the other countries don't even look for. And somehow this is catastrophically bad news.

The owners want to play at least 1 preseason game, the players don't want to play any.

Agree about this. That's why our #s look so bad in comparison. China with 1 billion+ (3-4 times as many people) but less cases & deaths. The Manipulation of #s for political ends (around the globe) is quite transparent.

Your other data is news to me. I've not really dipped into the death data, thanks for sharing.

Do you realize that Italy, Spain, France, the UK and Germany combined combined for 40 C19 deaths today? Those countries combined have a population of around that of the US. The US’ last 7 day average of C19 deaths is almost 800 per day. They’re doing a lot better managing the virus than the US right now. The struggles that those countries had are in the past (for now anyway). South Korea is playing professional baseball. In a country of 50 million people they are averaging less than 1 C19 death per day.

If they are doing such a better job of managing Covid death, how come more of their population as a % have died? Yeah, they didn't die today. Do they get a pass on previous deaths? Or don't they count?
