Wrong...He threw last year and sucked horribly at it...This year the lightbulb went off, more confidence, experience, new offensive coordinator... COACHING! ?

As much as I dislike him, Popcorn never did, Nor will he ever will be able to carry Harboos jock...He ALWAYS did more, with less!

    No on Albert.

Way too inconsistent overall. Even his best attributes as a pass catcher have been suspect all season. He is not very good in blocking the same.

Brycen Hopkins from Purdue on the other hand?! That is a Tight End worth looking into. The most complete overall Tight End in the class. He would get my vote.

Rudolph and Duck are the answer :roflmao: Ending the season with Duck and Paxton Lynch. Yinz really think a 5th rounder. Basically a PS body was worth losing Heartthrob Dobbs.

Dobbs would have done no better than either of our backups we have now.

What the Steelers failed to do, IMO, is at least bring in an experienced journeyman QB that could fill in and know how to move the ball in this league. Having 2 very inexperienced QBs to follow Ben, cost us more than having Dobbs.

And I'm talking, the minute Ben went down, Steelers should have found an experienced QB behind MR, just in case. Throwing Duck in there was a big mistake, and not his fault considering he was a practice squad player only.

I am not ready to give up on Albert I respect your opinion however I am liking what I have seen so far. I will look at Hopkins thanks, I watched Pinkney and he was a solid blocker.

In my trade Tomlin thread.. He's one of the players I wanted. I'm pretty sure that's where you found him.

The problem is ... we haven't invested in a bonafide replacement for Ben. These potentials that you get in the 3rd and 4th rd. Ben, was a bonafide, top of the first round qb. They let him slip to us. He had the "IT FACTOR" already. We didn't develop him. But, what we did do is put him in a position to highlight his strengths. Man, the way he would extend plays was natural for him.

The biggest mistake the Steelers made regarding Dobbs, was drafting him instead of George Kittle :frustrated:.

Nope didn't see that but hey if it helps you feel better about yourself think what you want. My guess is when you look at the draft sites he wasn't listed there and probably you are the only one to have ever heard of him.........smh

Huh? He was average at best at UT and was totally one-dimensional. He was surprisingly elusive with his legs. His passes were wildly inaccurate and his WRs bailed him out time and time again on bad throws and 50/50 balls. He had very good RBs and good WRs. He reached his ceiling in college and will never be more than a plug during an emergency situation in the NFL.

He probably was 4 or 5th best QB in his conference. He also was not very good.

Yeah, we should just say screw it, and keep what we have so everyone can come here and whine about how our QB’s suck. That’s way more fun than winning.

Make your mind up. Are you sticking with your title that trading Dobbs cost us our season or are you now saying it didn't put a dagger in our season. I am trying to follow you but your all over the place on this. And if this is top 5 worst Colbert moves then we would have two more rings by now.
