Well, I'm commenting on the media floating the stories that the Steelers were interested in bringing Minkah back. The rumors have been there. It isn't necessarily about loyalty. It's about acquiring older players that are declining.

Frankly, we have no idea what the new staff is going to do in any regard since this is their first offseason with the team.

He isn't my first choice for the future of the team. That's for sure.

I do understand that if they plan on developing young quarterbacks, there is no better player to watch run McCarthy's offense than Aaron Rodgers. I mean that from an educational standpoint. Rodgers' knowledge and experience in that system will help teach it to every quarterback that is in the room and whoever he talks to that is willing to learn. Maybe if he just hangs around for one season to mentor and share his vast knowledge. That is the only scenario that makes sense to me.

Come on now........ you should know the media is the biggest source of misinformation out there when it comes to the sports community..... every player that comes available will be linked to every other team... it's all click bait...

I totally agree on the new staff..... the only thing we know with any certainty is that they're keeping the 3-4 defense

Don't need Rodgers on the roster for that. Plenty of tape out there with Rodgers running McCarthy's offense. Like 10 years worth.

Poor? Nope. $40 million richer the next three years. I know, I know, it's the Jets, but they have 5 first round picks and 4 second round picks the next two years. If they don't screw it up they have a chance to have a decent team next year.

Of course the media just vomits whatever they dream of to get clicks. I understand that, but if you agree on the new staff, then why would we rule out any potential signings we hear about. That's the point. We don't know how much influence and power they are going to have in personnel decisions. Maybe that will be Khan and Weidle's baby and they will have the final say in nearly all things personnel wise.

New DC Graham has run 3-4 and 4-3. I think there is a possibility that he incorporates more 4-man fronts in situational football than we have seen before because he likes his defenses to be multiple in the schemes they are able to play. I'm assuming they will start out as 3-4 base, but who knows how Graham incorporates other looks into the defense over time. I'm pretty excited about it because he has shown that he doesn't get locked into what he runs and shoehorn players into a system. He runs whatever scheme works best for the team and the personnel they have.

Watching tape isn't the same as being in the room with the guy.

Being able to talk about things and picking his brain by asking questions and having him explaining the why and the how isn't something that is the same as watching tape. Not even close. Rodgers' has the coach's knowledge of the offense with the experience and relatability of talking to someone else that plays the position.

I'm saying this and I'm saying I don't want them to sign him. I hope they don't because if he signs, he's starting...and I want the hunt for the next quarterback to begin. But having a quarterback to demonstrate and be able to communicate all the knowledge through eyes that also see the game the same way as you is awesome.
