    I think Spoon being
But…but…but… PFF gave Witherspoon an 80.2 grade last year!

Could be a good thing, could be a what were used to event ya know? I realize we don’t always have the horses to execute the scheme but I fully acknowledge the inept scheming of leaving certain positions on certain positions be em horsied up or not.

“we can loose no more LB on WR matchups!”

    hahahahahaha

Played 1/3 of the year, but hey, if you want to die on the "Witherspoon is Joe Haden" hill to pwn maddog, you'll have to take a number. There's quite a line forming.

It's called common ground. Acknowledge the areas in which you and the other person agree. In this case, that Haden was a better acquisition then than Witherspoon is now, but you are still wrong about the larger point. You tried to argue that a team letting a player go at this point means that player must not be good. Haden was just one example of why your point fails. I'm sorry you are having such trouble with the concept.

Then again, you can't even keep your facts straight. You thought the Steelers were going to have to put the franchise tag on Watt for the 2021 season.

Yet again, nobody claimed that he is Haden. Nobody. This has been explained to you repeatedly, yet you keep sharing that incorrect information.

They aren't counting on Witherspoon to be a starter, he will be battling Layne for the 4th CB spot.

The year Joseph was drafted, I picked him as the Steeler 1rst round draft choice, MT spent lots of time
down at WVU. I think the Raiders selected him. Full circle?

Well…. That’s NOT what I was saying. Maybe take yourself a wee bit less seriously.

My expectation is that Spoon will provide decent depth on the outside, particularly in coverage. I won’t hold my breath seeing him line up in man coverage on the outside like I will if Layne is pressed into service. To me he slots ahead of Layne, and anything else is gravy.

A raccoon being run over and dragged 5 miles wouldnt be dragged as hard as MD is in this thread.

He’ll keep doubling down though instead of just admitting his mistake and I’m hear for it.

Some guy posted “Do the Steelers have enough DBs” . Maybe you should converse with him to see which one of you is confused?

The implication is that we didn't have enough quality ones, not that we need to pull even more from the scrap heap.

    But you already knew that.

My friends Colbert is trying his best to field a competitive team. He knows Layne and company aren’t there yet, and quite frankly may never be there, I commend him for trying to improve the team.

If your comparing an NFL player to the general US population, then yes, they are elite. If you compare NFL players to each other, then you will find some that are much less "elite" than others. So calling an NFL player a "scrub" when comparing apples to apples, NFL player to NFL player, that is possible in a relative way. JMO>
