The first thing that Mike Macdonald said about DK Metcalf’s injury after it happened was that he felt “optimistic” it wouldn’t be serious, but 12 days later Metcalf hasn’t practiced — something Macdonald has stressed is important before DK can play again — and in danger of missing another game with a sprained MCL.

The Chiefs gave up a fifth-rounder that can become a fourth-round pick. Also, I also think Hopkins had some control because he has a no-trade clause in his contract. Even if he didn't, the Steelers would have had to beat the Chiefs' offer. Sure, I would have given up a four this year and maybe something else for Hopkins rather than a five in 2025 for Williams, but no, your statement was not correct.

The Rams send CB Tre’Davious White and their 2027 7th round pick to the Ravens for their 2026 7th round pick.

Not this years 7th, but the year after that for the Ravens, and the Rams send a 7th round pick from 3 years into the future.

Preston Smith and Mike Williams could be the 2nd and 3rd players since 1930 to play in 18 games in a season. Green Bay's off week is this week and the Jets is week 12, so they've both already played 9 games with 9 to play for the Steelers. Leonard Williams did it last year.
Za'Darius Smith and Jonathon Mingo could also play 18 games this year.

 

The team made an effort to get better THIS SEASON, and did so at a low cost. Very happy with the trade deadline action. There are no perfect solutions, but both Williams and Smith should help us out.
