we are 5-2 without adding one we have to give draft picks for. i mentioned paris campbell as well. he's just out there waiting to play somewhere. the eagles have all they need so he was expendable.

 

Also, he's not good. They are 5-2 against the easy part of the schedule. The second half and playoffs are going to be much more challenging.

 

I don't understand the Garrett Wilson on the trade block talk that is going around the general media, but as long as you have the Jets on the phone for Mike Williams, why not ask about the younger Garrett Wilson?

 

I wouldn't be against DJ,,but I know others would, and I can't see them basically saying.....we made a mistake..... come back to us DJ. A few years down the road maybe, but this same Year. I can't see it.

The Jets would have to believe that they are in full rebuild mode to want to get rid of Wilson. But if they decided that they were, it would still probably take a first round pick (and I might pay that price). With his 5th yr option, we would also be able to stagger his and Pickens contracts if we wanted both signed long term-ish. Highly doubtful, but I certainly wouldn't balk at the asking price without thinking about it first.

 

Yeah, its a 2 year waiting period. We could sign him as a FA if he gets cut, but we can't trade back for him until 2 years have passed.

Even if they wanted to rebuild, trading a young guy like Wilson wouldn't make much sense. Lazard would be a more sensible move.

You will be happy to know that there is an NFL rule that says a player can't be traded back to his original team for 2 years. This prevents frequent, "Temporary", LOAN type player trades between 2 teams.

After tonight I’d say V. Jefferson > M. Williams, but Slayton would fit well on this team

 

There is no way we could get DJ, you can’t go back to the same team you was traded to in the same year. Maybe even 2 years.

I would take Darius Slayton in a heartbeat.
