Trade involving Big Ben

Yep, that's right, I just traded for Ben on my fantasy team. He's having such a great year and I think his stats will just keep getting better as the season goes on.

Anyway, nothing to see here. Just killing time (and bandwidth, sorry TTF) until next Sunday. It's been raining for a week where I am and I'm starting to get a little bored.

 

Who did you trade for him??

 

Cutler and two 2nd round picks for the 2013 rookie draft (I'm in a dynasty league where we keep all our players and only draft rookies every year). Wasn't overly cheap, but Cam Newton is my regular QB and he's been awful this year. I needed a reliable QB and Ben has been very good this year and seems to be getting better and better.

 

If you keep all your players, that was one hekuva trade, for you!

 

Couldn't agree more, Cutler is garbage, and 2nd round picks are nothing more than a lotto ticket with terrible odds.

 

I'm not a fantasy football fan, but that's a cool way to do it.

Does this signal a gradual change in attitude, shaner? Or are you using and abusing him for his stats alone?

My opinion of him hasn't changed one bit. He has always been a phenomenal QB, he just needed proper coaching, and now that he's getting it, he's going to have his best years ahead of him, and our offence is going to be better than ever.

 

man I thought for sure you were going to say Big Ben got in trouble with another woman and we had traded him for a 7th rd pick to the JETS

 

I knew the title would get everyone's attention.

 

Speaking of this, I actually have a dilemma this week. My 2 QBs are Ben and E. Manning. Which one do I start against the other???? I obviously want a shotout by the Steelers, but who's more likely to put up some passing TD's????

 

I'm awful at predictions, but I would actually go for Ben this week. While our running game has significantly improved, we do have some nagging injury worries, and this makes me think we'll be looking to Ben to air it out a little more. On the flipside, if we're a little softer against the run on D, the Giants may try and ram it down our necks.

But as I say, I'm awful at predictions.

You think Cutler is bad, I had Pittsburgh for my defense.

But I do have Ben, Heath, and Brown. Ben got me almost 30 pts one week.

 

Yeah i couldnt even get Newton for Rivers it got vetoed in my league. I got Ben as my starter but thought Cam would turn it around
