No one would take on his salary for a broken down 36 year old QB and his dead money cap hit if he's released would be $31,935,000. He's staying in Dallas whether he holds a clipboard or not.

I think that's been covered in other threads. People upset that they didn't see his potential.

How could a scout not see Dak's potential? He looked big league to me the first time I watched him.

This falls into the category "not funny" as a joke, so not slapping a negative rating on it.

Seems to me Romo gets even more injured than Ben and on top of that can`t win in the playoffs. Romo may finish his contract with Dallas as a capable backup, but after that`s up he will get a job as far far less pay somewhere.

No the Steelers should look at the college level, then if their ideal QB isn't there. they should look into Matthew Stafford, who will have
some time left on his body, and can make all the throws. And could finish out his career with a proven winner, instead of
a perennial loser as in Detroit.

The Lions and Steelers are similar teams. Both have crappy defenses, we have more weapons on O. He, nor anyone else, would not lead this team anywhere until they fix the gaping holes on defense.

If we had Dak Prescott we'd still probably be starting Landry this week. He would have gotten mop-up duty in preseason and probably been inactive all year.

No, if we would have drafted Dak, we would have cut him in pre-season without giving him any playing time to see what he could do. Remember Tajh Boyd?

There are a few more differences between the two organizations and I'm not even talking about history.

I remember Boyd. Couldn't learn the offense, couldn't handle snaps, and didn't earn playing time. Good thing we didn't waste a draft pick there. Now if we had drafted Prescot in the 4th, he would have seen a fair amount of time in the preseason.

My friend my comment was made meaning after Ben, oh lets say 2018. If the Steelers haven't found Ben's ideal replacement in the draft then
Stafford would be a choice I would explore. Lets give some of these young db's a chance. We (might) find a ball player or two.
Our defense is not as bad as some people think, it's a maturation process that has to be played out. This is why coaching
and motivation are so key to our defense. Ride the hell out of these guys and make them be accountable and put them in a position to succeed.
Cam Heyward is a very good leader and he has spoke up yesterday of what is expected from everybody. Lets hope the coaching staff keeps
this in mind. These players are well compensated, the Rooney's deserve better. Do you think the Patriot players like Bill B.?
But do you think they respect him? They are coached to perform and (DO THEIR JOB) And if they don't he will find somebody that will.

I say find a way to get Luck out of Indy. He's wasting away his career there, and the front office doesn't seem willing to surround him with talent. Just my two cents. Probably too pricey though.
