It would require them giving up high draft picks to get those guys not happening.

That's so dumb when we let pickens go for a third...... oh wait, that's because kahn/tomlin are idiots.

Lots of above average teams this year unlike some previous years where there was a noticeable gap between the rich and the poor.

I have often seen here somebody post "10 wins may not be good enough" to make the playoffs, yet it usually is enough. However, this could be that year IMO. Might be a cluster of teams finish 11-6.

Would be nice to get more help.

Not when we are giving up more than a third on players who are meh and littered with concussions.

I'm allowed to dream of getting waddle some how. But a first is so dang much.

    Whelp!

Trade: Raiders are trading WR Jakobi Meyers to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for fourth- and sixth-round picks, sources tell ESPN.

Multiple teams including the Steelers and Jaguars had shown interest in Meyers, who is scheduled to become a free agent after his contract expires this season.

Ya maybe...guess my question is whether or not they value him enough to give him a contract (that he wants) after this season. If they don't, 4th and 6th too steep.

Kahn hasn't shown any signs of addressing our WR issues for years. What makes you think he'll do it today?

Meyers would have been a perfect fit. The guy runs precise routes, which should be a priority with Rodgers.

Unless this frees up Thomas and the Steelers get him, it looks like Khan has failed yet again.

My man, Pickens wanted out. Said so externally. What else do you expect?

It's weird, man. The Steelers are actually a pretty damn good offense for once. A true No. 1 or No. 2 would make us a scary matchup.

I don't think it's any secret where your feelings on Khan are. ;)

But I agree with what you're saying in principle - if you're going to employ two to work together in managing and acquiring talent, I'd rather the #1 be the one who has a more dynamic understanding of talent. That's not Khan's background; he's the numbers guy.

That said, I would think he brings Weidl into the loop across the board on scouting evaluations, but I don't know what goes on behind closed doors. My other fear is another team tapping Weidl to take over the position with them in the offseason. The lack of talent evaluation in Khan's background is no secret. If some of the picks from the past couple of years gain traction and start producing, teams could come calling.

There's been a lot of speculation that he and Murray aren't a good fit. I know which one I'd rather have.

Love to see a splash move, but we are more than one splash move away from the Lombardi. It would not surprise me if we sit tight or make a minor signing.

Right! Great move by the Jets. They dead in the water, no sense in keeping him. They got a long way to go.
